Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.

Hi all
So some different scenery as I am visiting my mum. Did manage a run this morning but then went to the coast for a pub lunch to celebrate my auntie's birthday! We all took a little stroll afterwards for our digestion
There was a cormorant (I think) following alongside us in the sea, but he dived underwater every time I tried to get a pic!
Hope everyone has had a lovely day!

Well, headed inland today and went for a lovely walk through some shady woods then stopped for a snack at a garden centre on the way back! Hahaha - how my life has changed since BC! May meet up with my cousins children at the weekend - that should liven things up a bit!!! The river was so dry I was able to walk out halfway to take a pic.
Wishing everyone a lovely weekend!

Love your seapicture Ronstar xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Day 10 after chemo and I'm back!! I was beginning to think it would never happen. Woke at 6am to a fresher morning and the smell of bacon wafting through my bedroom window. With some urgency I got showered and dressed and head downstairs to search for a packet of bacon in the freezer.
Ventured out for my first walk...just a 15 minute round trip but it felt wonderful to be out there. Back now waiting for the bacon to thaw.
Love to you all

Just back from a lovely visit with my son and family in York.
Unfortunately on the train coming back the air conditioning was off and it was very hot, and no windows! I started to feel really ill( don’t do heat),had to drink lots so frequent loo visits.
Lots of poor people standing everywhere as no seats. I can’t keep my balance on a moving train, tripping over the people and half fell in the concertina bit. At that point had a meltdown. The lovely guard saw my distress and moved us to 1st class where there was air con.
That is the second time Trans Pennine Express have rescued me! xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
