Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.

Hi
This is a fantastic thread. It's given me a kick up the behind to go out walking. Just back from about a mile walk. My cheeks are red and joints ache but will keep doing it daily.
I will post pictures when I'm on a more scenic route.
Keep Walking

Hi ladies
It' brilliant to see so many people going through a similar journey and giving eachother so much encouragement to get out there. I didn't get out yesterday as it was raining and I had housework to do and my sciatica was playing games with me so I thought I'd have a day off! Well I wish I hadn't. My back and legs are so stiff, my sciatica jolted me afew times and my fatigue kicked in so I was out of breathe but hardly moving forward! But I know that you were all pushing me on and I got my 4 miles done so thank you. Unfortunately my views aren't as beautiful as some of the pics posted on here but I can pretend x
Hi WhatHappened
of course you can use the picture however you like it's yours, I was just impressed how it came out so well as I took it with my phone
Don't knock your 20 mins walking its still more than some do and you've made a start so well done, I hated walking at the start but it gets easier I was told it takes 21 times doing it til you start to enjoy it, now I do my work and think now it's my time and can't wait to get out and feel the freedom, I found that walking has improved my memory which helps as I've only left the hot tap running once and emptied the whole system so hopefully never again.
I giggle to myself when I say I started walking its like I'm a baby whose just started to walk but I'm 51!!!
Have a lovely day

I went to shoot a Frostbite League round this morning - 3 dozen (plus 6 sighters) in groups of 3 at 30m. And they needed another body for the barebow round so I did that one too.
Frozen fingers, but 8000 steps (3.5 miles).
xx

Just to let you all know I’ve been walking every day . Just around the block with my dog . Unable to take pictures as my dog tends to pull so I’ve needed both hands as training him on a new harness . I have to be honest and say when outside I find my brain relaxes . My concentration is on getting my dog to behave and looking at gardens and for that time it’s not on me . Loving it . And the fact that I know we are all doing it makes me feel part of a group of friends. Maria xx
The best advice given to me was “ take it one step at a time” . Twinkle51 xx
