Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Hi all, sorry not been on for a while but I’ve been keeping up with all your photos which are amazing, lovely, flowers, countryside and animals.
Really good to hear of you all getting out more or seeing family and friends.
Busy time at work with vaccine clinics and having my garden re done at home, youngest son is landscape gardener so he is fitting it in with his day job.
Fencing was being done this weekend
Back to bare bones with everything stripped out

First section of fencing in at the back

He is putting in decking and a new patio eventually too.
Big hugs to all, hope you are all keeping well xx

Today my walk was a bit different as it was a town walk. I had a scan appointment at the hospital so OH parked at the supermarket and he did the shopping while I walked along the Voie Vert across town to the hospital. Do you know about ' voie vert'. This one is part of a cycle/ walking route that stretches from Holland to Spain. The part that runs through our region uses 100km of old railway track. I did just 2km of it this morning! But it makes a change from busy streets.
The hospital was donated by aristocracy as it was a chateau. About ten years it was completely rebuilt behind the facade....a modern hospital

Lovely pics everyone here’s my offering from last few days starting with Hawes

Plus video of little fishes instream
Then today on way to Hawkshead via Ulswatet

How lovely! All my walking today has been around the hospital!

HelloLoving the little fishes,Northerner my Photgraphic Friends!,
I came on here yesterday and spent ages downloading a lovely video and photo(like yours are)only to keep pressing “reply”and it keep disappearing !!
on the premise that the definition of madness is to keep doing the same thing again and again thinking it will change the result…which I have done copious times before,I wrote to Macmillan with my problem and said “why does this keep happening?our time is precious”
anyway..I will attempt another go….here goes….
had coffee cake and copious chatting with my old nursey friends yesterday in a lovely old garden with birds chattering as they had for hundreds of years behinfpd the okd walled garden and saw the Aby and Warhorse
in Pershore….and I want to live in this tiny Cottage by the Abby xx
Fabulous photos peeps and so nice to see everyone getting out and about. I have no picture icon or would join in
Yesterday I did walk 10000 steps but .....very naughty.....around the Sales!
Armand Thiery at 50% reduction is too good to leave in the shop and I have been searching for a pretty, plain tee shirt to wear with patterned pants all summer.....my excuse for OH anyway!
Next week I promise to do some ' proper' walking. Our holiday is the Lot and Garonne....it will overlap in parts the Pilgrims walk to Santiago de Compostello but we won't be going as far as Spain!
Have a good week.
Sounds great Lacomtekp, enjoy!
Sadly I think again today my walking will be around the hospital! As it’s mostly single or two storey, it’s very spread out so there is a lot of walking! The idea of Milton Keynes (yes that’s our nearest hospital) is that no building should be higher than the tree canopy (it was conceived as a city of trees) so it makes for a lot of spread out low buildings!
