Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Just stepped on the scales moomy … yikes … I definitely need to lose weight. Too much Stöllen Only did a bit of hooping today. Getting weight off will help my hip too, well, joints in general. No wonder when I renewed my bus pass last week my photo reminded me of a chipmunk
I’ll be on the scales in the morning before I have breakfast for a more accurate weight. More movement called for …

Got on the scales this morning and much better numbers although still need to get half a stone off. Need to get out for a walk soon. Leelaloo I’ve always liked my biscuits/cake etc, haven’t had alcohol for years so just need to resist …. Will have one day of the week when I can indulge (Saturday)

I’ve managed (mostly) to maintain the weight loss I gained in my year off hormone drugs. An iron will has helped.
My 2+ miles this morning shows that the lakes (they are gravel extraction lakes) have actually frozen over, we had a sprinkling of snow around 9-10 am and it’s showed on the surface that it’s fallen on ice!
It’s now around 2° though….

Hugs xxx
Moomy
I got out for a walk this afternoon, although not a long one. The wind was bitterly cold. I’ll top up with a bit of hooping and Wiifit. Temp is up to 2° at the moment and, according to app, it won’t be minus temps overnight.

Thank goodness we had some rain and it's melted it. Not been out in 2 days and worked at home. So fearful about slipping as also have dodgy hip. Was -5 again this am but now 2. Positively balmy. Will get out for a walk tomorrow x
I’ve not walked for couple of days, stayed in in the warm & painted. Have taken photos of sunrise & sunsets, so beautiful. It snowed a little today as I went to dentist & shopped. It actually felt warmer. May rain tomorrow here, in Berkshire.

It looks glorious. Wish we were there. To be honest wish we were anywhere but here at the moment. The walls feel like they are closing in.
Booked into a site for a couple of days near Bakewell in the van at the weekend. Fingers crossed we get there.
I think I'll have a walk round the block today as the ice has gone.
Take care everyone.
Three times! What did I do?
