So in   5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - randomly known as Ian.

Why in the last few days have I become incredibly tired and emotional ??
Did anyone else feel the same?
  • You’re having a busy and varied end to the week  ... fingers and everything else crossed there’s no hiccoughs ... hopefully you’ll sail through Friday , or gallop if you prefer.

     Tinnitus must be a b***er

Sorry in advance, iPad won't let me tag tonight.

JammyR - So sorry that you're a guest of the NHS, it's really unfair that this happening. Hope you're out really soon.

Leolady - I had the same issue as you with your rashy scalp. I went to GP and got some prescription only antihistamines as other pills/creams didn't help. The spots were less red and the itching stopped straightaway with them. Liking the sound of your red hair!! You might end up with a huge red mane Mufasa stylie!! Lol!!

Well, results day yesterday following ANC 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, 2/14 nodes were cancerous so will need r/therapy to collar bone as well my boob. I'm very angry & frustrated that chemo hasn't done what it was supposed to do, especially when it's done so much other stuff to me! BCN (not mine) pointed out that the nodes have gone now (no s**t) and as far as we know so has the cancer (ditto!!) I also had a 200ml seroma drained from my armpit so quite a long appointment and still no clue as to when rt might be!!! Grrrr!!

    Take care everybody xxxx

  •  ..hope you improve and escape hospital xx

     - poop, poop, and more poop  - isn't it just like this stupid disease and it's treatment to throw you a curved ball just when you think you may have been over the worst of what chemo can throw at you! Fingers crossed that you'll be out of Hotel NHS asap. Libby seems like a very mature girl, and I'm sure she'd rather have Mum back home and as healthy as possible than be abroad - there'll be plenty of time for holidays in the future!

    Hugs to you..

Glad to hear that you're out now   - fingers crossed everything will be on the up now.

As for you  - what are you like???? Definitely the rash queen!! My hair all came back grey initially, and was like that for a while until the dark ones started to appear. However, if  yours stays silver, I'm sure you'll rock it!

Thanks for the tag  - I'm not too bad thanks, was diagnosed with pneumonia last week in A&E (but queried it, as you do!!!) , have taken the required horse tablets to try and clear it but don't feel any better. Still not convinced it's an infection, but seeing the chest team on Friday so they can see if they can work out what the heck is going on in there... Can't believe that it is a year tomorrow since I had the VATS procedure for biopsies and pleurodesis of my left lung, and I'm still very much where I was then, only with an added secondary cancer diagnosis!  I think I should have collected £200 for passing GO! in the past few weeks. I'm taking bets on what they find next...

Image result for who knows reaction gif

Hugs and best wishes to everyone!!

  • ...  sounds as though you continue to make big strides ... lovely what your granddaughter said xx

Sorry you have had a rubbish time too. Can imagine your frustration re chemo...laid here in the midst of chemo nightmare been having worries all day that whilst I'm here they will unearth something new. I get that your BCN was trying to be supportive but sometimes the stock phrases don't cut it do they?. Hope you get a clear date for RT soon... I am supposed to be starting on 25th.

Well still only know neutrophil result...other bloods  'delayed' ...my cough is bothering me most but that just cos its so warm and dry in here. Dr said chest sounded clear but they have done an xray to be safe. See what tomorrow brings....feeling totes emosh today. I dont normally do painkillers if can help it but might ask for some to help with T truck aches and pains in.the hope they help me sleep (between "obs" and all the noise)

    xx

Does seem like hotel nhs has a revolving door at the moment for you lovely ladies, jbdee, glad you are out, jammy hope you are not there for too long.

Leo, surely rt cannot throw any major side effects at you, you have had your fair share. Tinnitus is no fun i have mini bouts of it from time to time, high pitched continuous beep or the sound of blood rushing through my ear. Night time is definitely more noticable as ypu said its quiet, would mr leo tolerate quiet white noise being played in the background?

  • An emergency assembly has been called

All meet in the main hall in 5 mins

No you do not need your hymn books there will be no hymns this evening

There will be lots of prayers

I’m on my iPhone so no tagging and if you had all been playing nicely on the playground I

wouldn’t need to call you in. Now would I ???

Jammy Jo out immediately from NHS you have maths homework to complete. Libby said so

Jbee you have homework to hand in entitled ‘Far too many days in a row in hotel NHS’ discuss

Miss Jacmatholmad use of tamoxi @@@@ is not allowed and you will write 100 lines

Flossie speak up girl I can’t hear you my tinnitus is playing up

Jacks flasing baldness is not allowed but your grand daughter gets an extra playtime with Libby

Bigguy you can win the chemo bingo. It’s a day free of poop.

Weeblemum posting cute pictures of yourself wins no house points remember this head has seen you in the flesh

Jolly do leave the door alone enough people have played with it dear

Aliblue and Taralou good girls you are obviously not draining the NHS and you can both have an extra playtime. There are several others in this group and well done girls you know who you are. I’ll break out the head teacher stickers ASAP

Now if I hear any more silliness from the lot of you tomorrow there will be letters home

I hope you are all listening

    Right

    So:

May angels fly with you wherever you roam

And guide you back safely to family and home

Lindsay - because lovelies the alternative to battling on is not worth thinking about

    God bless xxxxx

Life is like a boxing match, defeat is declared not when you fall ..... But when you refuse to stand up again ....... So, I get knocked down but I get up again. x

  •  Sorry to hear you’ve been unwell again, hopefully the chest team will get things sorted out on Friday for you. It seems crazy a year has gone by and as you say yet you’re still trying to find things out. Make sure you let us know how you get on.

I can understand your frustration and anger after going through chemo and it’s list of crappy SE’s. As to RT I guess they are giving you time to recover first before putting you through yet another ordeal. When you get your planning appointment things do move quickly from there, try and relax although I do know that’s easier said than done. Sending a hug.

    xxxxxxx

Sorry Boss  - didn't mean to post pictures what give people the wrong image of me - most remiss. In recompense, here's one I took earlier..

Well, today is the one year anniversary of my lung/heart biopsies and pleurodesis - party will commence tomorrow if and when the chest team can tell me what the heck is still going on!! Mind you, I'm still here, and some people might think that's enough for a celebration... (others may not!!!)

Hope everyone is as well as they can be today!
