So in   5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - randomly known as Ian.

Why in the last few days have I become incredibly tired and emotional ??
Did anyone else feel the same?
  • I'd say 'pour one for me' but I think....as I will be getting up in 20 minutes.....you'd better make it a cup of tea.....non dairy of course!

  • Great news on your PET scan. What a relief. I’m still under the lymphoedema clinic although only need to see them every 6 months now and they’re great. Very reassuring.

Glad you are through the op. Rest and recuperate. Big hug.

Great news came on to ask how you got on yesterday so glad to see you had posted even if it was very very early this morning!

must be a huge relief, and hopefully they'll now get your lympho under control! I don't blame you for having a g & t or 2

I'm recovering, got a relatively full nights sleep last night for 1st time since op so that was good, i also managed a couple of small walks locally yesterday too because having just got to the point of being able to get out and about to do stuff more normaly after the first op, i was going a bit stir crazy even after 2 days. So much so i even resorted to starting a jigsaw!

Horrible wet day here today so no walks, just more tv.....Zzzzzz and jigsaw and of course physio exercises for the shoulder/chest. At least that is getting less tender by the day too, so all good.

    Have a good weekend

    hope you are mending too

Not heard back from doc after they took a large armful of bloods, so no news is good news. She halved my BP meds which has helped a lot and feeling goodish

Gentle and sustaining hugs to you all

And yes party time ... amazing how arthritis can be seen as a plus after all we have been through . But it can be mightily debilitating and not to be sniffed at

Do find some good ways to manage it and look at the website designated for it

    Hugs

  • Hope all you lasses are doing ok

Well that's the rather underwhelming post op review done and dusted. Maybe I don't ask the right questions, but is it just me that feels that all they want to tell you is the bare bones? I'm not a worry wart, or a narcissist, but I like to know the gist of the full ins and outs as I find it all interesting for my own knowledge bank.

    Anyhow.....

Dressings off, healing well. In a strange way I'm glad I had to have the extra surgery because the scar is actually much neater than the last one, so every silver cloud and all that jazz.

Follow up in 6m with the usual get back in touch if any problems.

So there we go, hopefully that's me finished for good this time. Hopefully this time next year I'll finally reach my 1 year clear mark and as it's close to my birthday I'll be able to celebrate properly for the 1st time in 2(3) years.

How are you doing ? Hoping your finally on the road to getting back to relative normality too, you deserve it
