So in   5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - randomly known as Ian.

Why in the last few days have I become incredibly tired and emotional ??
Did anyone else feel the same?
  • Bigguy - That's fabulous news and I'm sure a relief, you can now enjoy this Xmas and put the worries of bc in a box for a while! Xx

Aliblue and Leolady - I do hope you ladies are resting up and getting some well deserved tic and hopefully you will both be feeling better soon xx

JammyR - Bigguy is right, it's time to have some quality time with the family this weekend!

As for me I shall be coming out of retirement and doing a bit of undercover style policing of the German Xmas markets this weekend! Having said that I have a bit of pain in my hip especially if I press on it, not sure if ive done too much walking etc but the dreaded fear of it being something more sinister keeps raising it's ugly head. I have had the all clear from a bone scan 6 weeks ago though so hoping it's just the usual aches and pains of Letrozole!

Hope all is well with all you other lovely ladies, hugs Deb xx

    Dear All

I haven’t been able to access this site for a while so have not been up to speed with all your news. I will read through all the posts but thought you might appreciate this poem for when you're feeling anxious or are stuck in a never ending loop of thoughts

    THE PEACE OF WILD THINGS

    By Wendell Berry

When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

The peace of nature is so good for the soul

I am now feeling 80% not ready for a gallop but good enough to get dressed!!! And not Pj's or comfy cosy clothes.Might need to resurrect my kick ass red lippy too. Pop out later to post cards which I managed to write yesterday and get family ones. We have 2 card shops in the local town. An independent shop that has been there 20+ years and a Card factory opened next door to it!!! Grrr I will go to the independent one pay loads more but ..........

Of course to add insult to injury I am adding a seasonal cold in for good measure. Never knowingly been under ill. That reminds me must pick up parcel from John L. Be really interesting to see what I bought when I went online as it was one of my poorly days. Vaguely remember buying lots as it was 20% off. Mmmmmmmm

    Right .......

Hugs to those struggling and hugs to those surviving. sending you a hug with extra sparkle

    Hi folks

Due to  the kinks in the site, this thread is the only one I get regular notifications from and then sometimes they are late!

Been lousey for couple of days...gastro type bug...I hate nausea and of course since gastrectomy, mind goes into overdrive but I have decided I will live : )

My man on the other hand...his continued existence is extremely doubtful...jus as well that I was so poorly that using my eyes hurt, or I would be forensically cleaning a murder scene right now!!

Hugs to all those who need them

    Cheers take care

Ha Slight smile hmmm a newly acquired ' slight smile ' emoji...better than the none I had before, but ...so funny as my pal watches all things death n crime and reads lots of forensic autopsy type stuff and I keep saying she must be in with a good chance of getting away with murder most horrible Slight smile

Actually if I used rubber gloves I would be joining him as I have a latex allergy....so not too hard to see me off 'Innocently'.

He has just returned from a local live punk gig definitely not a happy bunny. He called at a pals on way home and someone there said something about trust.

Siiiiigh only the uninitiated would think a two way conversation with my man is possible after alcohol. The reception goes down or at best lags and is faulty so who knows what was 'said'.

Onwards and upwards. I was feeling much better...back to headache pills n nice lie down

    Cheers, take care

An old pal of mine would have said “The beer is in. The brain is out.”

A blast of nature certainly does do wonders for the soul, or at least a walk in the frosty cold to the post box to post xmas cards.

Had a wibbly weekend emotions wise, but blast of cold sunshine has helped today.

Got out a couple of times at weekend for an hr or so gentle change of scenery, but certainly felt the affects later on, so still trying to take it easy whilst I heal. Problem is as I'm at home with time to do stuff I really want to clear out the clutter, but can't Disappointed anyone got a spare decluttering fairy they could send?

In on Thurs to get check up and dressing removed Slight smile

hope you are feeling better as the days go by

Ooh I could send my man...but I  am not that cruel Smile

Your de-cluttdring would certainly get done but boy you would need more than a lie down to recover from the encounter Dizzy face

Hope you find something not too taxing and fun to detract you from the clutter. Ooh reminds me of the old half term phenomenon... those that work in education find their eyesight improves remarkably in the 'holidays'...suddenly they can see dust, extra laundry and clutter Thinking

Yeah trying out the few emoji I can twiddle.

How is everyone else doing? Sending a hug

    Take care
