So in   5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - randomly known as Ian.

Why in the last few days have I become incredibly tired and emotional ??
Did anyone else feel the same?

crikey leo! Hope the old pericarditis settles again soon. No wonder galloping is on hold. Take care

  • Glad to hear the op is over and you’re doing well, Take it very easy x

You too! Is the pericarditis related to your cancer treatment?

Wow, glad to hear your return to work has gone ok. It is a mixed blessing - both energising and draining. People see it as a sign of us ‘returning to normal’. But we know it’s a very different normal.

Hope it all went well today x

I was in for 2 nights, which was the minimum in my area, for a lumpectomy and ANC. Think it depends on what they prefer to do with the drains. My hospital like to take it out before they discharge you so like to see that fluid not too bad and is clear. Some hospitals send you home with the drain. All the best anyway x

Great news on the mammo x

    Love to all,

    Linda xx

    Patience and faith

    hope you are behaving yourself.

it's almost the end of the week, so hopefully not been too long in grand scheme.

everyone else hope you are all ok.

Not been too bad last couple of days, still feeling tired, pain pretty much settled, so just got to keep on doing the old exercises again, other than that I'm bored. It's nice not to have to do normal stuff, but there is only so much resting i can do, mind you started a couple of low level jobs like xmas cards and holiday photo sorting, but soon got bored with that too. Lol. Will certainly get presents wrapped next week whilst i have the opportunity too whilst kids are at school.

    Hi lovely people

I am none too good tbh

So sleeping a heck of a lot. Finding concentration a little challenging as well. So not posting as I may confuse people. Well more so than usual.

But I’ll be back. Hoping for a cardiologists appt ASAP

Oh no hope you feel better soon, get Mr Leo on the housework duty and rest up.

I did not get to my anniversary appointment with the surgeon as I developed a rather nasty cough and did not want to spread it around the ladies at the breast clinic.  The surgeons Secretary called me and made me another appointment for 19th dec.

Hope you are healing well . Hope everyone is ready for Christmas and healthy.  , ,  , ,  and everyone else who I have missed as I can't remember names hope your all doing well.

  • Leolady - Lindsay thinking of you, rest up and let Mr L look after you, hoping in a few days you will be back to galloping again xx

Hi everyone. Good news from me today. Been to see surgeon I had last year for initial BC surgery. He’s happy that all is ok and discharged me. He said the pain, swelling and numbness is all to be expected for up to one year following radio therapy. My resentment and anger towards BC will hopefully be addressed via a “Moving Forward” course in January.

Hope all ok as can be at this crazy time of year!! & , hope you’re both behaving and letting your fams take the strain. , it’s the weekend now - time to be wife & mummy for a few days. , hope your cold’s better soon. , fab to hear all clear for another year xxxx
