So in   5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - randomly known as Ian.

Why in the last few days have I become incredibly tired and emotional ??
Did anyone else feel the same?

Only one person you beat up when not being as positive as you can be........ YOU. So see the sun and smile. Etc etc.

And now it's Michael Ball don't do Elaine Paige her screeching laugh wellllllllllllllll. You never have a shotgun when you need one, do you?

Hi again. I know what you mean about Elaine Page!! Bit too luvvvy for my taste too. No RT scheduled for me as yet. Just had an MRI scan that was to see if a secondary cancer was causing numbness in my legs but, thankfully, no. Phew! So awaiting appointment with Neurologist to see if they have any suggestions. Going away for a few days with my wife just to see some different scenery unt next weekend and staying with a relative who's a former Macmillan nurse so I'll be in good hands ! You take care of yourself. MarlowRob.

  • OMG!!! I have an afternoon out with my DIL and little granddaughter and come back to masses of notifications, crikey you lot have been busy!!

Hope everyone is having a good day, bit sunnier here in Kent after a thoroughly wet day yesterday. Trust me, if my OH says once more that it’s good for the garden I will be up in front of a high court bloody judge!

I think I’ve got a super model in the making, Millie who’s 6 made us have a fashion show with her newly acquired outfits. The hallway was the changing area for very lengthy costume changes which included Rosie the doll who had a new Disney outfit and a swimming costume :-D :-D I will try and post a picture. Xxxxxxx

  • Anyone know why we can’t post pics?? Just says it needs to be less than 500mb whatever that’s is lol x

  • They have reduced the allowable file size to try and get things flowing on the site again . 500 mega bytes (or 1/2 gigabyte).

There's a couple of ways to reduce your file size. 1 use a photo editor and save as a lower quality image. 2 email it to yourself on an apple device - it will ask you what size to send it as - and then use that one. 3 I heard uploading to facebook and then resaving it from there works.

There's a lot of space issues on the server I suspect, and I think there are a LOT more pictures being posted these days. But also a lot of dormant users and very old threads too. All of this is supposed to get sorted during migration to a cloud server, but unfortunately every time they try to get the site prepped for migration more issues seem to crop up.

    Hope that helps.

  • I have posted a reply that might help with the pictures, but it's been sent for review. Hopefully it will reappear soon.

It seems that the powers that be have imposed a bigness limit... (hopefully it's only temporary!)

I had to reduce the size of my photos as they were all around 3-4 MB. I used Paint programme to do it, and then I could post, although only one at a time!

It's a bit of a faff to be honest, but it works!

  • Hi

    Thought I'd share....

Tonight I allowed this poop to overwhelm me in a good way

I put on a go to piece of music and allowed the emotions to fall/flow and cascade

Because it's perfectly acceptable to do that and please find; the time; the opportunity; the grace in your souls to allow yourselves to do it. And please no beating yourselves up if you do.

    Sleep tight

    Tight hugs

  • That’s so important, Leolady. I really hope you found the benefit of just letting your emotions flow. Music is so helpful in that regard. I love Helen Reddy’s “I Am Woman”. Such a strong song but during this cancer battle it always makes me cry. In a good way xx

    Patience and faith
