So in   5 days time I have the operation to remove the tumour - randomly known as Ian.

Why in the last few days have I become incredibly tired and emotional ??
Did anyone else feel the same?

    Shhh

All present and correct . No procedures today. Apart from a mop chop. I have just spent the last 2 bleeping years growing my hair.My gut has promised to buzz cut it any time, any pace and any where. He is adorable. If I had a son it would be him.

I will be galloping tomorrow with the lovely Jacmatholmad. Well she will be hiding in a hedge whilst I embarrass her

Massive hugs for you for tomorrow. But so sort of made me smile ..... I'm off for a mastectomy tomorrow - now who in their right mind had that in their diary. Eww it's Wednesday what shall I do. Nails..... no. Hair ..... no. Wax ........ no. Mmmm an Mx. This world is another universe with different language, time zones and people. But still hugs to you

not too much poop this evening by the looks from the team. Phew

Glad as for my 36th wedding anniversary I was hoping not. A little prossecco bottle was opened, a nice steak was consumed and now I am in bed

    Good luck for tomorrow

  • JammyR - I wish you all the best for the T chemo on friday lovely and hope the se are kept to a minimum! We will get through this T together! Fancy the bc nurse leaving that message! I haven't heard from my bc nurse since December! I'm glad Libby didn't hear the message as we dont' mention the 'C' word either it's just too serious a word for us to deal with let alone our children!

Well I saw oncologist today and he has prescribed me oral morphine for the pain saying as it' s a short term pain this will do the job and I shouldnt' be sick as I was with codeine and paracetamol so fingers crossed! I also had constipation meds, heartburn tabs, thrush meds, mouthwash and skin moisturiser! When my name was called at the hospital pharmacy to pick up the truck load of meds, the pharmacist was shocked and said 'are these really all for you lol! I told him they definately are as I dont'  want any se without meds this time round! The onc has also staggered the steroids to cover the muscle ache period too, so fingers crossed! Bloods were ok! So not looking forward to tomorrow but feel a bit better armed with my own pharmacy lol! Big hugs Deb x

      - glad that you've got your trolley full of drugs!

Interesting that the doctor said that the morphine would be less likely to cause sickness than the paracetamol/codeine combo - I thought morphine was quite well known for causing nausea and sickness, which is why they often give an antisickness drug with it - maybe that more for IV than oral!

You learn something new every day!

    Good luck tomorrow...

  • Arrrgggg Jammy, stupid nurse! Xxx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

  • Weeblemum - Cathy that's a good point and as I'm here I shall be requesting anti sickness meds to add to my pharmacy shopping trolley, I do recall him saying now that all strong pain meds can cause nausea but must have forgot with my long list of demands and concerns I must have frazzled his brain lol! Thanks hun xx
