Hi Lindsay good idea to have flu jab pre Chemo my GP
suggested it too.
Don’t know the other vaccine you referred to Pneumo 23 ?
Is that for certain conditions, looked it up and it mentioned for people who’ve had their spleen removed and people with compromised immune systems due to cancer ? Is it to prevent sepsis?
Do you know anymore please ?
Thanks

- sorry to hear that you've had a bit of a wobble but good that you had a reasonable weekend even with some tears in the mix!
Could well be a completely understandable reaction to all the poop that you've had to deal with over the past few weeks what with the wazzock and then seeing the new consultant.
Hope this week finds you on the 'up' a little more, but hey, if not, you know where we are!

Leolady56 - It's definately ok to shed a tear or a few as this is a major pile of poop we are all going through but we are all with you along the way sending you positive vibes and gentle hugs! You've got this and we've got you lovely! Xx
Thank you all so much just had a tiny meltdown, but as you say it is allowed. The onco poop took its toll I do believe. Silly really but we all now how the slightest thing can make life in this poop a challenge. I even say to some people don't be too nice to me or I will cry. My GP always seems to get me snivelling bless her.
pneumococcal injection is to help prevent things such as chest infections, sepsis , meningitis. I had a flu jab before Xmas. As I was in teaching I did that for many years so I didn't end of with one bug after another.
I think as I have complained about Onco Numero Uno I may be getting a VIP treatment. I could be wrong but ..... I have had quite a few things I have not seen others have. Then again I have got minor heart issues and am decidedly OLD.
Well another week rears its head and so to all who have bleeping poop days to survive gentle hugs and to those who are cracking on big squishy hugs
Be gentle with yourselves
Now visitors are off so beds to strip and wash

Morning galloping buddy and all of you lovely peeps,
Just wondering if this will also apply to me today with the looming of of 4 teenage girls in the house for the next couple of days. Also think we're allowed to freak out several times and have a good bawl whenever the need takes.
Take care
Hi Lindsay Thank you for the info regarding other vaccine I will mention it to my Oncologist this morning. Judith xx
Yes agree should be in tablets of stone... sums me up perfectly, gotta freak out and declare I cant do it before I do do it!
Lindsay not surprised you have had bit of wobble given all the onco saga you have had. I think most of us found the waiting for CT very hard... feels like bit of dive into the unknown. However hard it is on SE front once started (and of course lot of days arent too bad) there is definitely a sense of each day beong day ticked off. Remind me if that when I enter pre-docetaxal freak out later this week!
Hope you all have a good Monday x
