Why in the last few days have I become incredibly tired and emotional ??
Did anyone else feel the same?

    that is........

You are in right place, but know no-one wants to be there. Take it easy and try not to worry too much, Kids are more resilient than we sometimes give them credit for, Libs will be missing you, but better that your better and home than unwell and home.

  • Thanks everyone.

Got moved to a private room on assessment ward at 3 am so have my own space and loo now! Waiting for bed on one of main wards but it has to be a room due to chemo so might be a while. The hospital only has a mobile signal on ground foor so making the most of it!.

Only had 2 hrs sleep. Feeling sorry for myself and had the biggest cry Ive had since diagnosis. Feels like cancer winning right now but I know it isnt.  I guess it's an "only way is up" thing. Just pray to God this is a blip and isnt going to happen each time. My onco didnt prescribe rhe Filgristrim injections so hardly surprising my count is so very low. The Dr in A&E said he would speak to oncology to see want me to have them now admitted. To me its a no brainer if count needs to come up for chemo on 3rd but he never got back to me..see what happens today.

DH and Libby coming up in an hour then Libby going to circus with her friend this afternoon. Spoke to her on the phone earlier and was sorting out things to fetch me and just being so grown up about it all...thats what started me off blubbing!! Lucky once again we are 5 mins from hospital and my parents can bus it door to door.

Hey ho. Delightful NHS breakfast consumed, shall take advantage of my ensuite facilities znd have a wash.

Hope everyone else is doing ok x

  • So sorry to hear you’re in hospital JammyR. That totally sucks.  Hope they’ve found you a comfy bed now and have got you off that narrow hard trolley.

I’m wishing you a really, really quick recovery and hope that you’ll soon be back home keeping your own bed warm.

    Thinking of you.

Sending all good wishes for a speedy recovery . It sucks, but you're in the best place.

    Hugs.

  • Jammy, thought I'd try and make you laugh. Have been winding 14 year old daughter up today.

she had her Pre op appoimtment  today for her teeth out on Monday. The letter we got told us all about the pediatic day ward and "play specialists" she would meet today and what to bring next week including a beaker or sippy cup!!

this was where we met the assessment nurse

Needless to say she was not amused. The nurse was great though especially when she had to ask her if she could be pregnant!!

    speedy recovery lovely lady

  • JammyR - You are definately a strong lovely lady and this vile bc has definately NOT got the better of you, the chemo isn't great but it's doing its' job in getting rid of the nasties if any are still there unfortunately it does knock us a bit sideways during the process too! My throat is really sore today and hurts when I swallow so keeping an eye on my temp too! Hopefully the filgastrim injections will help you, I had them from the first chemo and so far so good and as you say every little helps to keep things ok! Well lovely lady plenty of r and r is what' required and I'm sure lovely Libby will do a fabulous job with playing nurse to her mummy and she and dh will soon have you home in no time! Chin up lovely and big hugs xxxx

Not long now until my last zap of the old RT, probably the only good thing that's happened so far this week. 3 weeks has disappeared into the abyss of time already forgotten rather quickly.

I'm not a teacher, but do work in education. at least a 3rd of my job and grade will be cut across the region, so it's not just the potential of having to move somewhere I might not wish to be, there is also the strong possibility of compulsory redundancies being made too, as it is fairly evident there will be more people than job allocation at the end of the process.

i'm enjoying my graphic I quickly whipped up this morning so I'm going to use it again as it sums everything up currently.......

I do hope and wish that everyone else is doing as well as they can under their current treatment schedule. You are all fabulous!
