    Hi 3301apk,

I've just popped in from womb cancer - different chemo but same outcome with all my hair falling out. It took me until the fourth week from the last chemo day to feel the first fuzzy hair growth on my head. Over the next few weeks, I had some freaky looking long, wiry white hairs come through and that gave me a horrible shock. Then I started to have darker, more normal hairs and my 10-year-old said I looked as if someone had been eating an Oreo biscuit over my head. By about one month after, I had hair all over my head but very short; it was my usual hair colour but of course quite dark as it had not been in the sun. By about two months post chemo, I had a full Sinead O'Connor. Then the hair started to curl wildly - the Leo Sayer/Bonzo the Clown phase of post chemo hair regrowth. Not a great look. I'm now two years post chemo and have a full head of lovely, wavy soft hair. It's not gone grey or come out a weird colour.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

  • It may take some time , I had Paclitaxel and my hair only really started grwoing back about a month after I had finished - I went out without my wig about a month later ( was still really patchy) but my BCN said it grows better uncover d - not sure if the science or how true this is but I have now had two no 3 shaves to my hair , it came back unbelievably curly but when that stops will let it grow a little. The photo below is from my first outing on the 24th March , 8 weeks after treatment finished. My eyebrows are partly drawn in and I had no real eyelashes

    hope this helps

Hi, sorry, I know I'm changing the subject, but, I'm on FEC -T. I'm due for my first docetaxol on 12th, I've read some pretty awful things about side effects, how did you find it? and yes, I'm as bald as a coot as well lol, and my eyebrows and lashes are now disappearing daily I'm now a wrinkly version of my son. Take care xxx

    Hi.

I had TCHP.  dreaded doxetaxol and carboplatin with 2 targeted therapies. My hair started to come back a week after finishing and 2 months on it is a short covering of soft fuzz. I am not sure if it came back so quickly because I washed my head with REVITA high performance hair stimulator by DS LABORATORIES. From the beginning of chemo. But I think it maybe worth a try. You can get it on line. I got it on amazon. It's not too expensive either under £20 and I am still using the same bottle after 4 months .... xxxxx

  • You look fab.  Can I ask did it grow on the top there, I’m 8 weeks post chemo and it’s like yours at the sides but bald at the front?
