LP is magic like Father Christmas  - he can be in lots of places at once!

  • Hi All, LPs truly is magic! Even when you don’t ask, he is with you. I honestly sit in the waiting room, thinking of the funny little guinea pig! It makes me smile and if that isn’t magic, when we are going through this, then I don’t know what is!

Re my mammo, I am with the Clinical Onc today and my mammo isn’t until tomorrow, so I will ask him. If he can’t help, I will pop in to see the BCNs while I am there. It is probably a baseline, as Sal says, or maybe just an error. Lots and lots of work to do today, as I left it all yesterday to do decorating! Now I have to catch up and I was behind anyway, lol. I’ll get there.

So glad to see your stick is helping Sal. My SIL never goes out without hers now and she loves it. She has a collection of them! Xx

, I hope your migraine is better. You cna do without something else jumping into the pot. Xx

None of us wanted to be in this group, but we are glad we're not alone.

Diagnosis 2/8/17 IDC Her2+, 22mm, with spread to several lymph nodes. TCHP chemo started 23/8/17, Mx with immediate, temp recon 24/1/18, rads 20/3 to 10/4/18, Herceptin by IV until Nov 18. RR Mx Jan 23. Still waiting for reconstruction, but opting for simple implants, as opposed to Diep, due to long waiting lists for diep.

as the stick gives you confidence I suggest Connie as a name.

hope you're migraine has gone or at least eased up.

Had a lovely couple of days and I got my first proper haircut yesterday!! So instead of looking like a demented poodle I'm a sleek greyhound! It's amazing the lift of confidence it gave me and my first thought was I'll look a bit decent for B'Ham meet ... so getting there bit by bit. Went for physio on my arm just before, that was a waste as although it's improved loads since cortisone injection I still can't raise or put it behind me so she couldn't do much but gave me a few exercises to try so I'll give them a go and back in a fortnight. I actually feel so much better in myself, fingers crossed it stays that way. No appts now until onc next weds (23rd) and ears thurs (24).

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the sunshine.

    xx

and everyone else  thank you for thinking of me. Migraine after three days two spent being sick every half hour finally going .Up and about at last needless to say fears of more sinister things started but I've had migraine years so sure that's all it is really   jodec a meet up with you yesterday would have been lovely hope your appointment goes well xx

  • Just to add my thoughts on the Awake thread year birthday. Sorry it's late. One thing I have noticed is that I rarely post on other threads now or if I have a question rather than start a new thread I usually just post on the Awake thread. Why because you all know me you know my story my recurrence fears and fears about my children I don't have to explain anything . Plus you're all so lovely and kind and thoughtful and here day or night

This time last year I couldn't sleep with anxiety I just got used to lying in bed waiting for the birds to sing to face another day of fear. I didn't always post on the Awake thread but read it and waited for new posts in the night. It was reassuring to know I wasn't alone. So thank you London Lass and everyone for being there always xxx

Glad to hear that you're feeling better today  - sounds like a horrid 3 days!

Take it easy and don't try and do too much for the next couple of days - as you know, migraines can drain you for several days...

    Big hug to you!

  • Hi Optimistic

If I get sick with a migraine my gp / out of hours always gives me an injection in my bottom to stop it and it works ! Plus pills to dissolve under my tongue if need be .

Don’t be so brave ! We don’t get medals.

    Hugs

Ooh,  - what do you have to dissolve under your tongue?

I had a similar drug when I was younger - the taste was so revolting that when I think of them now, it makes me want to gag!!! I can't remember what they were called though!
