Good luck with the skin biopsy. Never ends does it! Xxxxx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

  • Good luck with your skin biopsy Weeblemum. I had one in the middle of my chemo. It was OK, chemo related. You can do without these extra worries can't you! Xxxxxxx

    • Hello Londonlass, Sal. I’m really sorry to hear about your Mum. I’ve been trying to catch up but keep falling asleep. Work is tiring but I’m loving being back . Might smack the next person who puts their head on their shoulder and looks pityingly at me though.
Anyway back to you and your mum. It’s awful when someone you love isn’t firing on all cylinders but you have a wonderful caring family and it’s lovely you are so close...I bet your very very like your Mum and she’s just getting on with it .
Sending you lots of love, and giving your Mum a gentle hug as well ,
      Twinkle51 xxx Maria xx

The best advice given to me was “ take it one step at a time” . Twinkle51 xx

  • Hi  Maria, great to hear from you and so pleased to hear that you are ying being back at work! Getting some normality back is so important in all this!

Mum is doing okay and is almost back to her normal, fussing over me self :-)

Back to you, don't worry about the sleeping more through exhaustion. Just enjoy the fact you are sleeping :-) Any chance we'll be seeing you on the Birmingham meet up? It would of been nice to see you again! Take Care and don't over do it xxxx

and  L.P will be on hand to be with you for both of your biopsies next week! He's busy on Wednesday with my Gum Biopsy, poor little Chap will be shattered! He'll need a few extra treats this weekend!

Sending Love and ((((((((((HUGS))))))))))) to everyone! Hope you are all enjoying the Sun, through the hot flushes and aches and pains ;-) xxxxx

     - nice to see you back Maria!

     - good that your Mum has recovered now and is back to her usual self!

My Mum (who lives on her own in the middle of nowhere in Devon) had a stroke last September so we've spent a lot of time running back and forth, doing up her house so that it is safe for her and making sure she's cared for by the local teams. Until that happened, we never really thought about the 200+ miles that separate us and how big a problem that can be! Luckily, we had taken out lasting POA a few years ago and were able to put this into action so I have control over her finances and health/welfare, along with my sister (who lives in New Zealand!) Suddenly the parent you thought would always be there and well is a lot more vulnerable and needy - a big worry, especially as she has marked communication difficulties and finds it difficult to tell me what's going on etc!

Gosh, your gum biopsy has taken a while to come through - hope it goes well! I'm not worried about the skin biopsy - if it is a secondary met, then it will be removed or zapped with radiotherapy! LP can have a rest on Friday unless anyone else needs him!

    Hi JoJo

Sorry you're feeling that way.  I dont.understand all the terms relating to BC, so please forgive me.

Your cat pic made me smile and brought back memories of my eldest daughter (when she was five) coming home from school in tears.  She was so upset as one little boy told her she had 'fat hair'. She had lovely copper coloured long thick curls.

    Sending hugs to everyone

  • Hi , it has taken a while. But it should of been weeks ago but I put it off as it meant having yet another day off work! So as I knew I had holiday a few weeks later and they clearly weren't in a hurry to do it, I thought I would do it this week! Must admit I am a big scared, not of the results but actually having it done :-( The previous dentist mentioned stitches! Stitches in my mouth doesn't sound much fun! :-( In fact all this poking and prodding is bloody frustrating!

We are going to have to arrange a meet up when you are in Devon! IF you have time at some point! Xxxx

  • ..and ....hoping the skin bioosies go okay...

also...flies!!ooo I love a good rant...I actually killed one which jumped out of my gym clothes today after I came in...I struck it again and again with my mastectomy bra....it felt good!
