Hope everyone has had as good a weekend as possible. Rain on and off here so not much done in the garden apart from a bit tidying up. Windy conditions = lots of fallen apples to clear. Had yearly lymphoedema review last week, measurements ok and new sleeves to be ordered through GP. Think I’m due Oncologist review before end of year. I’m continuing Letrozole with regular breaks so feel I’m weaning myself off it.
Thinking of those awaiting results, having treatment and recovering.
Good you are recovering Lacomtekp although slowly. Hope you’re back to normal soon

Lovely sunny morning but I’ve spent it ironing and searching for an interesting course held locally. No luck. Adult courses seem to be targeted at those who want to return to work which I definitely don’t. There’s always ceramics or jewellery making. Don’t mind doing a bit of throwing but not interested in jewellery. No history, philosophy, languages etc to be found except for ESOL, basic stuff. I’ll have to look at U3A, join wildlife trust, something like that!???

Hi Flossie25 , I’m a member of U3A, joined so that I could do Tai Chi through them. There are lots of interesting groups in our local group, although I haven’t got round to investigating them yet! I’d say definitely worth a look. Another possibility is the Workers Educational Association? I think that’s what it’s called, a friend has done a few courses through them. Xx
Good Evening
I've had a busy day. Having been told yesterday that my treatment is finally imminent, I've been sorting myself out. I've packed an overnight bag in case I end up in hospital for any reason. Then I've started putting things into the bag I'm going to take to chemo. The edible stuff is missing. I'm shopping tomorrow so I will look for some treats, sweets and nice tea bags etc. I hate most coffee other than the one I make myself so I think a fruit tea will be better. It's still drinkable when it is cold too.
I've more or less decided against the cold cap. Not being able to wear headphones or my glasses properly was the the last straw on that idea. I wear my hair short anyway. I'll just have to style it out with turbans and red lippy.
I've now got confirmation of two different types of cancer. One in each breast. I get the impression this isn't exactly common! I've got to go to Leeds for a PET scan in the next five days, then I might finally start on treatment. I'm having a PICC line so no swimming for me. I am really sad about that but it is what it is.
This afternoon I've gone through all the bumf, leaflets etc. Most say the same thing, you are probably going to feel rough, but only let us know if you feel rough and have a temperature. I've only ever used a sense of touch to work out who has a temperature in our house. Maybe I should get a thermometer?
Time to sleep now. Girlies here tomorrow. I must hide all literature before they arrive. They'll find out soon enough Grandmas not very well. There will be some interesting questions I'm sure.
Night all. Sleep well.
Three times! What did I do?
