Not many folk can escape along the close without Henry knowing, hahaha!
he even lies down across the top of the sofa to save energy!
crazy dog!
my skin really is holding up, (fingers crossed) a slight browny pinky colour which looks like I’ve been in the sun just a little, but not sore or even itchy a lot, I’m plastering on Aveeno 3or 4 times a day but have a tube of Active Hydrogel issued by radiotherapy in case of any areas breaking down. I guess antihistamine also helps, certainly the extra one at night.
it’s cloudy here but still humid (the Midlands just ‘do’ humidity), if it were less so it would be really pleasant.
Thinking of all who are going through treatment/waiting/anxious,

Well all I can say is it's horribly hot and has been for the past month. We are at present in our third heatwave of the month.. yesterday we had to close and shutter all windows before 9am as the heat coming in was just unbearable. Today it's still mega hot, and we have the added joy of very high humidity.
I totally agree with you Lacomtekp , and house work has to be done very early on in the day, afternoons are just made for sitting under a ceiling fan, or reposing on a bed under a ceiling fan.. I've tried telling myself it's not hot, but I find the sweat trickling down into ones eyes as you try to get the ironing done just makes that statement difficult to swallow!
That's my moan over! I hope all of those going through treatment are coping, I hope you all have as good a weekend as you can.

A friend text me last night to say her mother was "gone". Not unexpected as in her mid 90s and was recently moved to end of life care. I loved how my friend described her passing as "amazing". She's been sole carer of her mother for years and was determined to help her stay in her own home and not a care home. It's impacted her own health through stress of arranging carers etc. She reminds me of Lacomtekp taking such lovely care of her mother.
Still very hot and humid here. Had breast check and mammo 30/7, all well Got up at 5.30 1/8 to get to the waterpark for walk and birdwatching. It was lovely. The lovely breast surgeon has referred me to a shoulder surgeon as I have been having pain and limitation in the L shoulder. Cause I think was hauling myself upstairs post knee replacement! Also being referred again for R foot arthritis which is getting worse. I mange well at the moment but want to know what my options are as it deteriorates.
Son is home after the trauma and is doing very well xx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
So very glad your son is doing well seaspirit44 , and hope he continues to improve daily.
I’m glad too that you’ve been referred for shoulder problems, a good move. (Many years ago I got referred and had a decompression op on left shoulder, physio afterwards was hard work but very well worth it.) I’m anxious to ensure it doesn’t stiffen up after mx and radiotherapy so am assiduously continuing to do the given exercises and adding more too.

Hi everyone I’d just like to say thank you for all the kind words. We got through yesterday but the sheer number of people attending was quite overwhelming - 300 in the church, we knew maybe 200 were coming, 66 of her work colleagues attended & more watched the live stream while her department was closed for 2 hrs! Friends flew in from NZ & New York.x
