  • Postie has been. Got my letter following my Year 3 mammogram and all is clear. Only took 8 days and not the 3 weeks they said. I'm also on day 6 of my preferred brand of tamoxifen which was a minor battle in itself but my local Boots has been helpful although I did all the leg work for them. It may all be in my head but not as achy and the joint pain is less. But plodding on..... love and hugs to all.

glad to hear you've sorted your cording. I had it too and very painful.

Hugs to all whatever stage of journey on the trip no one really wanted to take! Xx

  • Congratulations on getting the all clear Tired Minion.

  • So pleased  . But why should we have to battle to get the meds that best suit us? Well done xx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

  • Great news,  , but yes it’s sad that you have to do so much work to beg a brand that suits you.

    Hugs xxx

  • The frustrating thing is it's written on my prescription and in some part I feel its just laziness of staff. I know they are very busy but all it took was one phone call after I gave them all the details. They just seem to fob you off with what they have in stock and whilst I appreciate they don't know every drug and its side effects, surely the patient telling them should give them a clue! Rant over x

  • I guess they reach for the nearest box,   which doesn’t help their customer!

  • Fantastic news

Regarding the tablets, Boots are unable to request tge Brand of letrozole I am best on. They tell me they have to take whatever comes in and tgey have no say on brands.

My scan today showed hernias both sides of my groin. I ha e to wait to hear how this will be treated.

  • Hope hernias can be helped,  , so much seems to go wrong with our bodies when we really don’t need it!

Radiotherapy planning Tuesday, what do I need to ask, apart from creams and anti nausea?

  • Glad they are moving quickly with the radiotherapy The radiotherapy shouldnt make you nauseous.I used bio oil which kept the soreness under control.

  • Hello Fruit Loops,

A quick Hello and sending you all lots of love before I get off to bed - my sleep is still crazy.

Oww and I've just realised I've not posted much as the last two weeks I have had the most strangest of things - I have had a 'cough' - the most horrible of coughs that has made my throat literally feel raw - yet I've had no cold symptoms.  I caught it from my niece on Bank Holiday Monday, she had just come back from holiday and said she wouldn't hug of kiss us as she has a sore throat.....

Three days later I have the cough from hell, at one point it was so hard to take an 'intake of breath' as the cough wouldn't let me, it was really scary.

I think I am starting on week 3 (my head can't work the simplest of things out) - Saturday, I thought it was on its way out - it's not, and now the back of my throat feels strange again.  I've forgotten what it feels like to be well arrrghhhhh

Sending love to all the Fruit Loops xxxx

    Nighty Night xxx

I'm hoping this makes sense - only my mind says one thing and my fingers type whatever they like x
