  • Just popping in, morning lovely fruit loops. Hi  , saw a comment from you re a cancer exercise class, I think on a different thread but can’t remember which! Anyway, just wanted to say, I go to one near me and I love it. There are folk at all different stages of treatment. I’m 5 years post op but still on Anastrozole so want to keep up my fitness and work on bone health. But most there are at an earlier stage, some currently having chemo, so a real range. It’s good exercise, lovely to have a peer group, and we have a coffee afterwards so it’s very sociable too. I’m in Hertfordshire and the lovely instructor does a few in the county. Love and hugs, HFxx

  • Glad its benefiting you. Think being sedentary doesn't help sleep or thoughts. I will have to be patient for a bit and go from there x

  • Just saw something extraordinary.  Making lunch in kitchen, heard a bang, and saw there had been a bird strike on the patio window. Then saw on the ground a sparrow hawk on top of a pigeon. The pigeon managed to fly up, with the sparrow hawk in close pursuit. I’m glad it got away, but don’t fancy its chances. Sparrow hawks are beautiful birds, and I have never seen one so close before, but I do not fancy watching it eat its kill while I was having lunch! Xx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

  • Wow,  ! We once (many years back) had one land on our fence, total surprise. There were of course, no birds anywhere!

    So glad the restfulness continues,

  • Sparrow hawks reside near our van   always know when they are hunting all goes very quiet from other birds . Once managed to take photo of female with kill she just glared at camera and continued to pump the life out of white dove . Sad but fascinating ..nature at work .

  • Just looked for sparrow hawk online (Im Welsh so need to translate sometimes with animals - "Gwalch Glas" in Welsh - I'll let you try to say that one!!)

Lovely walk this morning to a local park, hygenist this afternoon and managed to get a quiet space in the pub for a meal this evening with hubby and children. Ive been told not to go into packed places so feeling a little nervous about going anywhere - B&Q was a good outing yesterday, place was empty. Not driving is making me housebound and dependent on others. Had hake and potatoes in the pub with creamed leeks. As Ive only eaten plain food, veg and fruit (just in a panic about all food at the moment, but it has got a bit better) I just thought one nice meal before results day was allowed. Was jealous of my husbands turkey but it would have been too much for me. Tomorrow is going to be a long day. People asking me to update them - but not sure I'll want to. Will face it and decide tomorrow. We have a saying in welsh that means sort of 'today's difficulties are enough' - trying to stick to that mindset this evening. I might not want to share everything right now plus the children need to have christmas done before i dump more on them. They're tired, its a long term and still one day to go with dragging them from their beds!

Tried to do a bit of a wave in this bob haircut today - was better than yesterdays effort! Im hopeless with my own hair. Covid arm didnt help mind you!!
