.
Great ENT news LondonLass very pleased for you. You deserved some good news.
i don’t make it here often enough, so much news to read. We are such a busy lot!
I had good news too this week about my boob pains. Ultrasound showed the one operated on has seromas and is yet to heal internally, and the other has benign cysts etc in it. At least now I know the reasons for the pains. Plan is painkillers, exercises and to let time pass.
Love to all xx
Thanks raedd , it’s amazing how just knowing the cause of the pain can help you to deal with it. I’ve been saying for over a year that somethings not right and that the pains got worse, but kept being told they could up the meds! I didn’t want to just up the pain meds, I wanted to know why things were suddenly feeling worse! Of course I didn’t want to hear that the Cancer was active again…..but at least with that knowledge I can do something about it BEFORE it has chance to spread elsewhere!
I hope you can relax now and find a level of pain meds that help you. I myself found that healing on the inside took a lot longer than the healing on the outside. Especially if you have had any form of radiotherapy! I hope things start to settle for you soon. Sending you a ((((((gentle hug)))))). Sal xxxx

Hello friends! Yes it's Dicha here, who should be ashamed of herself for not having been on here for a long time. There are reasons, I promise you.
Firstly, my very best friend of nearly 40 years, who moved out here at the same time we did has decided she has to return to Blighty to live. Five years ago, her OH had a severe stroke, which nearly killed him and his speech, ability to read and mobility have all been affected. As a result she is now his full time carer, and after five years is totally exhausted. She also still has both her parents (93 and 89) living near to her, so she is responsible for their well being too. She feels that everyone should move back to the UK, where she can hopefully get some extra support from her children.
I have to be honest and say I was devastated when she told me, even though I totally understand her reasons. We are more like sisters, and have been through so many things, both happy and sad during those nearly 40 years. Before I could even come to terms with it, she had put the house on the market and it was sold in two weeks. I still am very pleased for her, and I'm continuing to support her through all this.
I then had my flu and COVID boosters. Two days later I developed an horrendous cough. Long story short, and several trips back and forth to the GP I was diagnosed with severe bronchitis, given antibiotics and an inhaler to use, as the GP said my lungs sounded as if they were nearly closed up. It's taken me a month to shake it off, and I'm only now beginning to feel human again.
So those are my excuses. I'm sorry I abandoned ship, but I needed to concentrate on getting myself fit again.I felt so ill, don't want to feel like that again for a long time.
I want to say Happy Christmas and a healthy New Year to everyone. Let's hope 2024 gives us all everything that we deserve!
Sally xx
