Santababy you shouldn't feel guilty you are unwell. I feel a bit low but keeping a lid on it as I don't want to make my daughter feel guilty but it's 18 months since I've been in same house as her as she's crippled by OCD at the moment and can't leave the house or let anyone in. We've just done a christmas quiz by MS teams and we will facetime but it's not the same. I keep telling myself it's ok. I'm not cooking a roast for me and hubby. I order M&S food that I just have to heat up and indulgent desserts.
One of my lovely nieces dropped me a beautiful hamper at 6.30am!!! She was off to get her turkey and we watched Elf and then Enola Holmes film.
Sorry Mag123 you've tested positive. Hope you not feeling too rough.
Anyone else have horrendous thunder and lightening a couple of hours ago! Very loud.
Thinking of you all over Christmas. Lovely to see old faces popping up. I know Christmas will be difficult for many as we feel we should be happy but it's not that easy as we all know.
So I'll bid you good night, I'm going to snack then beddy byes. We don't really do much on gifts here unless there is something we think they really want.so we have each just have something little to open plus I've gifts from my daughter, friends and of course my hamper!! I had my Christmas/Birthday present early from my hubby!! A beautiful sewing machine which I've used in past week or so to make reusable gift bags, a couple of tote bags for friends and I've recovered a foot stool!!!
So hope you all have to best Christmas for you xx
Thank you. I have made it into bed finally, been having curled up on the sofa and watching Polar Express with the family. It has been a Christmas Eve tradition since the dvd came out in 2005, having watched it in the cinema when it first came out.
Sleep well dear Fruit Loops xx
Sorry this is a small reply to Santababy ...... "You feel like you've ruined it for everyone"......
What about this..... it sounds like YOU always do everything for Christmas for everyone else .... and I'm guessing you love doing this...... well..... how about thinking like this.....
With how you are at the moment ..... others, family, etc are really wanting to do this FOR YOU - to show you how YOU make them feel - they want you to feel this way.
Soooooo - sit back and enjoy, I know it's not how you would like it - but.... it is what it is and this way others are feeling good to be able to help!!
So Santababy - ENJOY - Enjoy in the best way you can xxxxxx
Sending a great big tight, squiggy hug xxxx
"Merry Christmas"
To All the Fruit Loops, new and old arrrrghh!!
I have a few cards to write - I know, I know, but for anyone that knows me .... this is good hahaha
I want to say "Thank You" to each and every one of you that have been here for me over this last year and all the other years - You are all amazing - to know you are here - no matter what we need, should we need to laugh or cry it means so much. I can sit here at my computer, turn my computer on and know that my real friends although virtual friends, my real 'real' friends are here - friends that truly understand, friends that are honest, friends that are just this 'friends' and I sincerely "Thank You All" for stepping into my life and heart and getting me though the hardest event in my life - "Thank You"
Owww and ......
Christmas has arrived xxx
Plus, I keep forgetting, every time I log off I remember..... I must say 'Thank You' .....
Dear Steph - Macmillan ,
"Thank You" - Thank you between you and the IT department we now have the 'pointy finger' on the "upload" word when attaching file/URL ...... it has gone from a 'nothing' word to a 'doing' word yahhhhhhhhhyy.
Honestly, THANK YOU - it will help me and I am sure it will help others ~ Thank You.
Merry Christmas to you and all the other Macmillan moderators
