  • oh you've such a load on your plate, no wonder you struggling to sleep and feeling so crap.  Life can be so demanding at times.

sorry you are in pain.  Hope you can get it sorted.

At those watching Motherland.  Glad you are enjoying.  I finished series 2 last night.  I hope there's a third.  I like it's short 30 minute episodes too.

  • Oh  you have way too much on your plate to cope with, really hope some super charged fairy dust can be brewed for you over the next few nights, thinking of you Two hearts

  • Thank you. Sometimes we all have a lot on our plate thats why I posted as I'm thinking of others too. Lack of sleep makes everything so much worse. I may have to resort to kidnapping the fairy soon :-o

  • Oh my, you’ve got so much going on, , I’m not surprised that sleep is evading you! I will ensure our fairies have a special dust for you

    Hugs xxx

  • Today's top tip.  Primark are selling velvet lined leggings for just £7.  Not tried them on yet but loads of great reviews on TikTok.   Lots of colours and lovely and warm (they are in folded packet like tights).  Ask the staff if they have any as they are hugely in demand.  Sizes were limited.  I think I needed L/XL (they are dual size) based on my height, clothes size).   They also sell cosy leggings which are ordinary looking on outside but warm lining.  A bargain at £6.  I bought 3 pairs a couple of weeks ago and gave 1 to my daughter as she works from home to see if she likes.  She text me today to ask if I could get more as so comfy and warm!!  I bought 4 more pairs as I don't expect them to last very long and I feel they are going to be our winter staples.  Size wise I bought L which are generous.  I wear a size 16 in M&S trousers.  I could get away with a medium but the legs were a bit shorter on me and my daughter has very long legs too and because they are not too tight they might last longer on the seams.

  • Hi

I am so sorry you’re having to go through this with your Dad. I do understand a bit. I lost my Dad to Bowel Cancer (he was 63), he was a fighter to the end.

We were so lucky he had help from local hospice, and although he wanted to be at home he died peacefully in their care.

Things are so different from area to area and time has also changed things. I faced the same palliative care journey with my Mum in 2020, they offered to support her at home. She was adamant that she didn’t want to pass away at home. Her last few days she was under the care of the local hospital.

Bit of a ramble here, but do talk to the Palliative Care team and try and get a plan for you and your family.

Sending you lots of hugs and positive thoughts for working through this. Xxx

  • Dear Tired Minion,

I am so sorry life has thrown you such a rough hand at the moment. Especially after moving to your lovely home which you should be having time to enjoy. Instead you are going through long journies and emotional upheaval over your Dad and also trying to be of support to your mum. Sending big hugs xx

  • Thanks . My dad is 80. Had a good life. If it was just one thing it maybe would be ok but having both dementia and cancer means he is going downhill fast. The palliative care team have said he not ill enough! They have told us it could be a month to a year which is a big difference.  Supposed to have had a meeting today but been postponed to next week now. They are helping us decide next steps and plan. Hugs back at ya x

  • Thanks . Just plodding on xx
