  • Sorry you’re on roller coaster with hubby ... hugs

Im enjoying the cooler weather. Skin flare ups reduced but could also be due to no product use on face and double antihistamines. I have dermatology referral after seeing nurse, again,  at GP surgery, probably because she was “unsure”. I did hint at rosacea but I’m very happy to have a referral. I’ll be seeing a trained doctor, hopefully, and be properly assessed. The first time I saw this nurse she said she “ had been dragged out of retirement”.... my thought was she should have stayed retired. Yesterday she hadn’t read my online request form, didn’t really ask much, didn’t assess ... I said everything I needed to, directed her to my many photos and to my face. She mainly looked at computer or bnf, didn’t communicate what she thought it might be so when I asked her she said she was unsure (after querying with me if I should have a 3 month course of antibiotics). Goodness knows what is in the referral as I know what she documented at my first attendance wasn’t correct ( receptionist read it back to me as I had queried  the prescription she first gave me for emollient. Well, that’s my moan over.

    Hope you’re enjoying your hols

    Hugs

  • Morning, Fruit Loops, hope you’re doing as well as possible?

daughter doesn’t have Covid this time, it’s a nasty chesty cough and cold…..but she will still most likely need antibiotics for the chest, as it’s pretty productive and tight feeling, she says. (And of course due to her history it always needs action)

, so sorry you’re on the rollercoaster again but with hubs this time, hope it’s straightforward and you know soon.

Just read your post, , sometimes these professionals need a kick up the proverbial, and yes it sounds as if she should have remained in retirement! Hope you get that referral sorted soon….

sorry you were feeling tearful X

….it sounds like you got your retired nurse on a bad day….what a shame.

i do hope you can sort it out and that you have a more patient nurse next time, whether it is her or not.

Anyway…a nice picture for you all….today…. I would love to decorate this with flowers and chill on it…just having a nice cuppa xx

  • Good morning, Fruit Loops, it rained here in the early hours, and feels fresher this morning. (But I get a big hot flush when I wake so it wasn’t that fresh, hahaha!)

  • Good morning fruit loops. Having had virtually no sleep, I got up early and picked blackberries and raspberries, put washing on the line and have a second load on. I am extremely fortunate to have both neighbours away and both said to pick the soft fruits from their gardens as they are starting to drop. I have enough for a crumble and a summer pudding. Just need to buy some cooking apples to go with the blackberries.

I went to a show Bad Girls last night. My friend is the producer. What a great show!!

Off for a walk at a local NT place with a friend shortly. Have a lovely day everyone xx

  • Awww, , hope you aren’t too worried, but glad it’s all booked.

I requested my surgery refer for the Dexa scan which is due later this year, they’ve replied that it’s been passed to GP to do (most likely a Secretary)

  • Will just wait and see  I do know that his RA drugs , nose polyp can cause His extreme dryness in mouth which in turn can cause Dysphagia . At least it’s getting investigated it’s taken me a while to get him to GP .
I also know we’re extremely lucky in this area with the speed things are dealt with . Remember it well my MX 8 days after diagnosis .

Have some windfall apples from a friend so think I need to do crumble

hope daughter is  feeling a bit better .
