Shaz52 don't worry about the radiotherapy it just leaves you tired and a a bit red. Get lifts if your hospital does a driver scheme. Ask your BCN about any help with transport. Cos you have about 15 sessions. I'm glad you got the op you needed. Oh I used to put cotton hankies in my bra and have cream in my bag to slather on.
In other news I am in Llandudno. Hotel fine, weather very nice, been up the Great Orme on a tram. Went swimming in Hotel pool this morning. Will post a pic or two.
View from hotel room.
Me swimming
Possibly a tram
Sorry LondonLass, I tried to respond but it has taken me all day to get on the site. I now have my new pbone but all my logins had gone and I have just been trying to set tgem all back up.
So sorry you had one of tbose horrible awake nights.
When I was about 6 I remember saying My wish would be that I could have as many wishes as I wanted so I could give everyone a wish.
Hello Fruit Loops,
Nipping on to say Hello and hope everyone is well.
Sorry you have a bad night Sal and hoping you dropped to sleep after your post.
Well Snowys Mum, its great to read that you are away 'again' haha .... good for you.
Now then the Great Orme ..... many years back there was a boxer by the name of Randolph Turpin had a 'club' at the top of the Great Orme .... mom recalls that there was a murial of his face 'on the floor'. Apparently, 'back in the day' the Great Orme and his club/pub was the place to go. .... you have given me the idea that is would be good to go there with mom one of these sunny days.
.... you look amazing - I can't believe how much your hair has grown.
Sending loads of love and hugs to all our lovely .... crazy Fruit Loops xxxx
Gosh. It's just quite boring lying here waiting to drop off. Another night of hardly any sleep. Woke at 4am this morning. Must be 10 days since I had more than 5 hrs in one stretch. Sleeping pills rubbish. Think I need to start bribing the fairy!
I can't sleep. 2.45 am. My husband is snoring so loudly I am seriously contemplating divorce.
My new phone is driving me mad. All my logins are lost and mobile bsnking won't let me sign in. I can't use WatsApp and I have lost tge kindle book I was reading. phones! Why when you get a new phone does the whole thing become a comete nightmare. It is ridiculous how much I rely on my phone and how lost I feel when it doesn't work properly.
Hi everyone I managed 6 hours of sleep last night. Wide awake now thou, so going to potter around and prepare breakfast for me and my son. Its dry out at the moment, but not sunny and warm enough for breakfast outside, which I dearly love. Welcome to June, please be a lovely month to everyone, love and best wishes everyone xxx
Thank you snowys mom for your advice regarding radiotherapy. Is there a particular cream that you would advise or to speak with my team. xx
Here is my tip for a good night's sleep.......
Start travelling at 06.00......queue for nearly two hours around St Pancras station in a zigzag to enter passport control, rush across Paris because the late train leaving London meant less transfer time between the Gare du Nord and Montparnasse, and arrive at destination at 19.23. Five trains accomplished.....Predicted arrival time 19.23.....miraculously....arrival time 19.23.......
OH very happy. Evening beautiful so dinner on café terrace then bed. And why the sleep recipe?.....I slept for 9 hours! I haven't been asleep past 04.00 for weeks. Not sleeping had become the norm.....
Shaz52 It will probably be best to wait and chat to your radiotherapy unit about what they want you to do as I have noticed differing advice. Some like cream, some don't etc. If you cream, it's really important you wash it all off and have very clean skin during the actual radiotherapy session. But my unit told me exactly what to do..... I had hyaluronic acid cream on prescription and used Savon surgras to wash it off....and I had 33 sessions, which was common in 2016, and I never burnt. Going every day can be tiring but I had a free taxi every day which I now know was very fortunate.
Hope it all goes well. Love Karen
I think a trip to phone provider may help. You may find you have to uninstall on one to put it back on another. I was still awake writing shopping list on my phone at 2am. Maybe fell asleep for 3 hours and awake again at gone 5. Leg sore from bruises and fingers most painful. Teach me to be more careful getting out shower. Oh well another day x
