  • Hi Fruit Loops! Well it appears I’m having one of ‘those’ nights!…….

The Hot Flash Fairy seems to be outstaying her welcome

But while she’s here and I can’t sleep, I thought I’d give you all a Giggle! Hot Flush themed of course!
So let’s start with one that could be a good point! While everyone is worried about their bills and the cost of living…..

Think of the money we could be saving! Although I live with 2 Pensioners, so not sure how they’d feel about that RoflJoyRoflJoyRoflJoy

Ever wished you could be the one that finds the magic lamp?? What would you wish for? After 9years of Hot Flushes and night sweats, mine is easy…..

Of course No More Cancer might have to be wish number 1. Wink

Of course the reality is these hot flushes just don’t want to stop, however….

    IF ONLY JoyRoflJoyRofl

Well as I bid you a Very Good Night, I shall just give you tomorrow’s weather forecast….

Well in my life EVERY day seems to be a Scorcher!!

Night night Fruit Loops! Hope everyone is doing okay! Love you. Sal xxxxx

p.s  I hope you are having a lovely time with your parents! Must admit I was shocked to see the photograph of them. The last photo you sent me they looked so Happy and Well. The last few years really have taken their toll on them! Bloody Covid. Although I’m sure just having you there for a visit, has brightened their days! Enjoy your time together xxxx

  • Hi ladies I have been on this site awhile, diagnosed 12 months ago. I have come to your awake chat for some advice please with what my recent surgery has showed. So this is me. Last August I had a theraputic mammoplasty with reduction on other side. Results from that showed 20mm grade 2 er/pr positive her2 positive tumour, negative 0/2 lymph nodes. Treatment was 3 x ec and paclitaxel with herceptin. Herceptin for 6months I have 2 left. They got clear margins on my tumour but not on my area of dcis which was intermediate grade. So after chemo a masectomy was planned. In April I had my masectomy got results yesterday. They advised a 2mm ( I know so so small thank goodness) grade one (low grade thank goodness) was removed. This was er/pr positive her2 negative. I have recently been started on anastrozole. They advised they got good margins on the 2mm tumour over 10mms all sides but have decided on radiotherapy, I think because my dcis was a large area. I know this 2nd find was so so small, I believe they took no lymph nodes in my 2nd surgery because they was  negative in my  first surgery and was looking at removing dcis. Can I ask please would you be asking more questions about your lymph nodes from this small 2mm tumour. I am seeing my oncologist next week and really unsure what to ask. Thank goodness I had the masectomy and it's now removed. Sorry about long post. Love and best wishes everyone xxx

  • Hi

    Firstly may I say…

to the group! Hopefully we can help you.

In answer to your question, I would just say ask as many questions as you need to! The appointment with the Oncologist is for you to feel happy with what’s happening/has happened with your treatment!
Remember the only silly question is a question you don’t ask! You need to feel you know exactly what’s going on with your body, that is completely natural.
I would suggest you make a list of questions and if you are able to give a copy to your Breast care nurse ahead of your appointment. Then your oncologist can have all the answers ready for you!

I hope your appointment goes well and your Oncologist can reassure you of any fears you have. Sal xxx

  • Aww thank you, just knocked me for 6 that more cancer was found, but my first cancer was found early so I like to keep positive and this one was found even earlier and now has been removed. 2mm grade 1 and no longer there. So onward with my treatment, to finish herceptin and radiotherapy. Any advice on radiotherapy please. Best wishes xx
