Congratulations fruitloops and especially LondonLass for starting this thread—-38000 !!! Xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Moan away. We all have other things and its the compassion and understanding that helps us. Well that's my opinion anyway. From my view, great cancer is gone but the menopause symptoms, swelling and the tamoxifen means I feel all the aches and pains and wonder if it was worth it. It can also trigger other things - everyone is different. it is tiring so I empathise. x
Hi Tired Minion,
Thanks for understanding. Yes I have the arthritic pain from the Letrazole now, along with all the other side effects already bothering me. These tablets suppress the hormones to try to prevent breast cancer recurring but can cause cancers elsewhere. It is a weighed up risk taking them but we have to rely on the advice from the oncologists. I hope your side effects settle soon x
Think it just a slow recovery. Not gonna get better overnight. Wouldn't have minded if I was told long term plan and effects were but they just gloss over that. As i have mentioned, The after care/follow ups have been non existent/not so great. Work is an issue at the moment as they just aren't engaging me and I'm so bored. I really want to do something different but not sure what. just taking each day as it comes but it does feel like my life is really being lived at the moment x
Found this good article today:
Hi Tired Minion, I start my chemo tomorrow and am dreading it. Good luck with yours.xxx
That's a very interesting article, and a lot of what is said is correct.
Good luck Jacuzzi Jack. I haven't had chemo but from what I've read about it, just make sure you tell them how you feel as its come a long way and there are drugs to help with any side effects x
Lots of posts, keep ‘em coming, lovely Fruit Loops, I’m awful at replying with individual names but know I think about you all lots.
