.
Welcome back Lacomtekp, we have missed you. I am not on here so often due to how the site has sadly changed.
"If" you are using a computer, and can only scroll, click back 'two pages' ..... I have found it you click back in groups of two pages, you can go back further ..... it seems if you try to go bak 'one' page - it won't let you, if its a 2, 4 or 6 etc then it will.
I hope this makes sense, and more so, if you try it, that it works.
Love and hugs xx
I will come on and post an update when I get chance. Everything I am doing is taking me forever. Having loads of small problems, letting all go over my head - which in a way isn't helping as I am letting things pile up. Its like my brain has gone on strike. On top of this my dear mom keeps have a right go at me - when it's not my fault or I tell her something I know is right and she will question me and tell me I am wrong, to add to this her hearing is terrible, I'm not sure if mom needs ears syringed or if it is actually her hearing..... but mom things we are deliberately whispering to get at her - this isn't the case..... worst part for me is every thing I have to say, I have to repeat or shout it and I don't like shouting unless I'm arguing hahaha ..... so mentally I am feeling like I am spending all day arguing - it is both draining me and also pushing me to the point of I can't get my words out now - as when I speak my speaks over me as does otherhalf.... he also has poor hearing.........
Help !!!!!!!
Thinking of all our lovely Fruit Loops - please stay strong, we have a great bunch in here and together the knowledge is amazing..... Together we are stronger and I honestly feel there is always one of us with knowledge to help another - we are not alone xxxxx
Sending love and hugs to you all.
Good morning from the Charente.
The sun is out.....we expect mid 20's for temperature so I'm up early doing jobs outside. Like the UK, it has been very dry. I don't remember watering plants so early. We collect rainwater in an underground tank
but I've already used three refills of the double water butts!
More cactii required I think.
Hope all goes well for everyone today. moomy thinking of you both. ...hope the results were ok? Grogg...how is the knicker sorting going?
Love to everyone else. Oh has made breakfast and I must join him.
Dear WhatHappened..what a pity you aren’t on here more due to the changes on the site!!Please let admin know.I somehow feel that nothing seems to be changing with problems like the one you voiced. If you say you aren’t coming on due to that they Should Look At It again.
What else can we do?We tell them regularly and you are one of my favourite fruitloops although we have never met!
It does upset me.
You are having a difficult time with your Mum.
When things get too hard to bear could you write things down just until her hearing is better. That might reduce your frustration for a little while.
Could she be seen by the GP/nurse at the Surgery or Audiologist?
sorry it is all happening.I had the same with my dear Papa but at least he would go and see the GP for an ear examination and de-wax.It might be that her hearing really has become worse.
love Violet xxx
Good morning WhatHappened I can't imagine having to live full time with my mother, it would drive us both nuts.
I suspect both your mother and your husband know that they can't hear well and are frustrated and taking it out on you. I would put them in a room together to talk and they will soon work out they are having to shout to be heard. Or maybe if a friend or neighbour has a conversation with your mother so she can see it's not you whispering although I do suspect she knows this already.
My late mother in law had trouble hearing but she refused to accept it because she didn't want to wear a hearing aid. Again she did know but if she admitted it she wold be a step closer to having to give in and wear a hearing aid. It's hard to deny when a group of people are speaking and hearing each other and you can't hear. That's the situation you need to put your mother in.
Can the GP call to speak to her over the phone and persuade her to go in for a check up?
Hope you persuade her to get seen for both your sakes. xx
Oh WhatHappened, bless you it’s so hard with people being deaf! M-I-L was and also had selective hearing too, so you never knew exactly what she would hear! Hubs is partially deaf too but that’s from industry.
I agree that you need to persuade your mum to get her ears checked, even sorting out a build up of wax can help!
Hugs xxx
Moomy
WhatHappened lovely to hear from you again. Sorry about the trouble you are having with your mum. Unfortunately due to covid service like dewaxing and hearing testing have taken a back seat. I haven’t had a follow up for hearing test etc for 18/12. She does need someone to look down her ears though, GPs are reluctant to do face to face consultations, it may be persuaded if you can explain how bad the problem is.
As for the site, I co tiniest to have the same problems: going back 4 years to the first entry of AWAKE, and similar, as well as being chucked off the site while posting. They do not seem to have fixed these probs at all. Grrrrr!
Take care, and I hope thing will improve for you xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
LondonLass, I hope you don’t mind, it I had a last minute dermatology appt, so texted LP and he was pleased to come. My follow up has been put of many times due to Covid, and it is a year late. I was pleased when they phoned me with a cancellation. LP was very excited as he loves playing with the dermascope, looking at his feet magnified. He was a little disappointed as the consult was so quick, but he will be back with me for the surgery. He loves that, little ghoul! The BCC (non worrying skin cancer) has grown and needs removing.
On the way back we went to the hairdresser for me to have a skin test preparatory to my .one awaited appt for co.our and cut. He was rather naughty and got into the colours and appeared with pink pa and a purple stripe on his head! Sorry Sal ,I don’t know whether or not it will come out.
Giving you a bit more notice, please can he come next week? Mon ortho 6week follow up with X-ray, Weds physio, and Fri podiatry which he loves.
I hope you are OK, as you have not been posting much. Take care xxxxx
