  • My hubs had Pfizer and was ill for a couple of days after.  He was warned by the nurse that chances were hight that the second one would affect him.  It started the day after the jab, he felt like he had flu for a couple of days and then he was fine.  Hopefully your hubs doesn't react but best to be prepared.

Hope you're feeling better these days . xx

  • My hubby had no 2 Oxford last Friday.  He's struggling with fatigue ev3n today.  He was up at 7am, asleep by 11am, up (with effort) 12.45pm and back in bed by 7pm.  His appetite also not very good .  He's literally eaten one small meal a day since jab.   Hubby does have a spinal cord injury though which causes nerve pain so tha5 can make him tired.   I've my second on Saturday.  I'll be fine RoflRofl

  • Hubs had second Covid jab ok and had the normal  15 minute wait while in the surgery, but began shivering while I drove home (I was having a hot flush so had the window open a bit!) and felt chilly for a while. Temp and blood sugars all ok though, might just be a mild reaction. Fingers crossed!

  • Definitely crossed

My OH has to have further investigations after Monday's procedure.  It can't be done until June 1st but they are going to admit him the day before because of the fasting( with insulin). We hope this means they don't consider it to be urgent.

I never had this wait when my mammogram found the breast cancer so  now I really know how those people who have to wait for biopsies and results are feeling. Common sense says there are numerous other possibilities including the polyp found on Monday......but ' what if ' it's something else?

Today has been so beautiful I have been gardening for most of it. There was a bit at the bottom of the garden where the stones from the walls discarded during renovations got left and nettles and weeds have enjoyed the space. During the last five years I somehow haven't had the energy or  ( after my decompression op) the physical strength but today was the day......not a nettle left and I've planted honeysuckle runners in the hope they will grow to fill the space and stop the nettles returning. The stones would make brilliant raised beds but I would need a son or two to build thos e!

  • Will be thinking of you and OH  and hoping all is ok....

Hubs is exhausted, had a lot of sleep during the afternoon, felt shivery after the jab, so I suspect it’s the jab as he had begun to do more. Poor chap struggled to find the energy to get to bed!

  • Owww - I'm always here for you, that was some tough going, knowing you want to help and that you can't - if this makes sense.  The best part is you knew Bertie was poorly and did everything you could - and none of us can do more than this.  Sending big hugs and loads of love to you xxx

I'm hoping this makes sense - only my mind says one thing and my fingers type whatever they like x
