Snowys Mum so pleased to see you getting your jab.LP is a good photographer! Xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Soooo glad to hear you’re getting there, Londonmumof2, it’s really rough, I’m sure your hubs will improve too. After all, if a super-fit Formula 1 racing driver feels it’s tough to get through it, it must be! And he was still coughing in the post-race interview....
I’m in bed just having a last look round, must get to sleep otherwise I’ll find it’s midnight and I’m still awake....

I'm so pleased to read you are feeling a little better Londonmumof2 - you saying about chemo or bad flu puts it into perspective. I pray you continue in the right direction.
With regards to work, I really don't think you should be going into work this soon. I thought (I don't know for certain), aren't you suppose to have a test that shows up negative before you can go back out mixing? It would be terrible if you are still contagious and was to pass this on to others.
I was thinking if was people that 'mixed' with someone that has covid - they have to isolate for 10 days (was 14 days) to see if they come down with it. This makes me think you need to stay home a fair few days longer.... you could be a carrier and you don't want to be passing this to any of your family - I think the trip to Scotland and seeing your Uncle should be put off.... you need to look after you first. Please take it ease and don't push yourself xxxx
oww moomy, well done you on getting to bed. This was me, one last look around and I'm logging off and then seen Londonmumof2 post and then yours. So that's it, one last little message and then off to get ready for an early night xx
Apparently no one ever tests positive 10 days after symptoms begin, so the covid was gone on Thursday, and the hospital said I'd no sign of infection that day. It's the after-effects like infections in the lungs, over reaction of the immune system and damage to organs which cause the problems. I've areas of covid in both lungs which still take a time to go, but air is flowing freely in all areas (or was a couple of days ago), and my blood oxygen is up from 96-97 to 97- 99! I might just go in on Thursday as its basically 3 lessons which most students don't turn up for and then a staff Christmas lunch, which is always really good. Our canteen manager's parents run a French Resturaunt in Cornwall and we're spoilt with food choices. Mostly we're serving wraps and sandwiches at the minute due to thr social distancing issues faced with a sit down hot meal, though each year gets a hot meal once a week. Just before I was off he did Christmas Dinner wraps, Brazilian bean stew wraps, vegan chick pea curry wraps and a large flat Yorkshire puddings folded into a wrap with lamb stew and roast potatoes inside! These are school meals by the way!
I'm going to wait and see how I feel at the end of this week, but I'm flying business class from Heathrow (airmiles) on the 22nd, will relax and watch a film at the hotel with my daughter (who does her covid test at the end of this week), see him (he's 100 and I've not seen him since July) for lunch, then home to City airport where my husband will collect us. Not too tiring. I've an M&S food collection and an Asda delivery orgaised while I'm away, so Christmas eve will be easy. Presents already bought apart from a gift box for a book I'm SO pleased about. My younger daughter loves, and is studying 'The Bell Jar' buy Sylvia Plath for her A- level English, and my older daughter found a 2nd edition 1964 copy written under the pseudonym Victoria Lucas! These are really rare and sell for £350+, but we got it for £80 in St Andrews. My daughter doesn't know about the pseudonym, nor did a friend who teaches it, so I can't wait to see her face!
Right..... off to bed now, sleep well everyone:) xxx
Thanks Moomy, Sleep well! Xx
Thanks Grogg I’m hoping I can get something, I’m not wanting anything out of this world and can get by for a year if I have to which with the job market as it is thanks to Covid is a blessing. Intially I’m looking at shop work, cleaning or in home care work as my initial thoughts, a complete change from being stuck in an office (or the front room for this year!) sat on a compter. New Year New Me, will see what fate turns up for me Huge Hugs

Hi Santababy, sorry to hear about you losing your job after so many years! My sister was in the same position a few weeks ago. She was made redundant from a job she had done for many many years BUT a job that she didn’t really enjoy. However it paid the bills and was close to home!
So being made redundant was actually a chance for her to find a different direction to go in. Yes she was a bit concerned as obviously there are so many people losing jobs and looking for new ones! But just to give you some hope! My sister officially finished with her current employer on Nov 19th although has pay until Jan. She has just taken on a new job which begins in Jan!
Its horrid when things like this happen! However this could have a Happy Ever After! Your new job is out there somewhere and it could open up new friends, new challenges, new opportunities all which would of been missed if you had been stuck in the old job!
Have my fingers crossed that you find the job of your dreams! After all we spend so much time in the job we do, we may as well enjoy it!! Xxx
Good Morning Fruit Loops! Another week begins! Good Luck to anyone with appointments or treatment this week. Hope it goes well.
seaspirit44 I am sure I read somewhere that you needed LP at some point and Monday came to mind. So I am sending him across now! If I have the wrong day, just give him a little snack and then send him back
Good Luck with appointment if it is today and hope LP behaves himself! Sal xxxx
