  • Good you’re through surgery and reassuring news things will improve.

... hope you’re still meeting up with friends and keeping occupied with your crafts ... sound so cute.

Hello ...  it’s awful not sleeping well .. knocks everything out of synch.

    ... hope you’re having a better day.

.. sorry your son is going through hard time.

... hope your recovery goes well now drain is out. Keep up with the exercises.

...  hope your new boiler was installed without a hitch. It’s good not to worry about an old boiler going on the blink. Good on you for kicking that guy into touch. Having your own place, no mortgage is excellent. Does sound as though you would benefit from downsizing although can see you have the dilemma of your stray cats. Downsizing is probably our next move. At least planning for it will hopefully get all of our “junk” sorted .

... sounds like you’re keeping busy. Hope your bloods improve and mammogram is ok.

Hope everyone is having as good a day as they possibly can

    xx

  • Owww "Thank You" moomy, I did get some well earned sleep - till very late in the day ..... very naughty.

I have had a wake up call .... again..... I checked my blood sugars today (Wed. 9th Dec) and they are 14.5 - when I say I checked them, I am not diabetic but do have the machine (it was my dads, so I buy the strips to test - just to keep a check)... Last year my numbers where high and I started the walking and got them down to between 5 and 7 ..... then lockdown, no walking, no really moving (okay fingers on the keyboard here) and eating anything and everything and more, banana split flavoured toffee, turkish delights, you name it I have found them with the online shopping!!!.

I am now wondering if these high numbers are the reason for so much tiredness, no concentration and wanting to sleep for England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales (gwitch Slight smile ) if these high numbers could be the reason.... I was putting it down to the Letrozole.  Therefore today, I will walk... I WILL walk on treadmill for 20-30 minutes (I know this is not long but the effort to get myself to do this is crazy - what a lazy person I am).

    - what are we like.... you staying because of your feral cats.... me staying due to fox I feed arrghh.
Although, I do 'feel at home' here.  Well done on buying the man out and getting rid! and a real well done on clearing your mortgage.

I do think we are an incredible group of women - that empower each other - we are like the First BC Club - Together We Shall Overcome. (as most know, I can't type 'that' word hence BC and thought we can't be the First Wives Club - because some of our men can be really good and caring etc.   My thinking is.... all of us in here are here helping each other out, lifting us when low, supporting us for BC and more..... ssshhhh I'm waffling...

    - I do hope you are feeling a little better today, or some of the symptoms are easing.  I just want you to know I am thinking of you and wish you and all the family a good and safe recovery.

I'm going as I feel 'War and Peace' will start if I keep typing - however, if yo need to fall asleep then reading this might just help.

Big Hugs and Loads of Love to you all

I'm hoping this makes sense - only my mind says one thing and my fingers type whatever they like x
  • Haha, , I’m totally with you there, being naturally a lazy slob! I’ve vowed to do a mile each day of virtual jogging/marching on the spot to music (today it was Mozart whose rhythmic music stays stable!) and pop my achievement sometimes onto the ‘walking’ thread. My reasons for changing from walking are twofold; 1) weather is nasty, 2) far too many people out there for my liking!

Stay safe....(the vaccine can’t come fast enough!)

  • Hello lovely Margaret,

I feel better in as 'I'm letting nothing get to me' (trying) however, this has adverse effects as I am 'doing nothing' - so making more trouble for myself.  I am from today going to (try) to walk on treadmill daily (how bad that I have to 'try' - when I should just enjoy it).  I won't go outside walking as so many people out and about here - and I am scared about picking up the 'dreaded' whilst out.  My mind won't let me do this, as I say so many people out around here and not wearing masks, plus on route of school children - so makes me extra scared.  .....

anyway, I am waffling again, so I'll go - sending love and hugs to you xxxx

I'm hoping this makes sense - only my mind says one thing and my fingers type whatever they like x
  • hahahaha you said it, I can only confirm 'this is me' you're talking about hahaha.... I have just posted on a reply to Northerner the main reason I won't go out walking 'too many people out there' - it took me a while to build confidence up 'before' all this started and I was starting to 'enjoy' (hmmm was this the right word hahaha) walking - but now a stone plus on (I hate to say it, I think its 2 stone) - I have to start walking.  As I sit here typing this I could sleep, I could honestly sleep 24 hours a day 7 days a week - I could, it seems like I go into such a snuggly place and find it hard to be awake SleepingZzz

So, you know what - I am going to log off now and ...... get on that walking machine..... Fingers crossed just in case hahahaha

    Love and Hugs,
    Gail xx

  • hope you enjoyed your walk!! Must admit I'm quite lucky in that we have Bella to walk every day and that the park near us is generally quite quiet, other than a few dog walkers. Plus we all keep our distance.

I was thinking have you had a blood test recently to check theres no underlying issues, like anemia or vitamin deficiency etc etc?! I think its probably worth checking before you label yourself as 'Lazy'!

I also think this whole Lockdown/Tier system is making a lot of people lethargic and lacking enthusiasm for anything! But let's hope it not going to be for much longer!

Sending you a (((((((BIG HUG))))))) xxxxxx
