.
I have had two cataracts done but I don't think I could have driven myself home. I had an eye covering for about 12 hours. I'm assuming your ' no sedation' doesn't mean no local anaesthetic. Mine was a drop. I felt nothing and saw nothing because apart from the eye hole, I was under a sterile sheet. The second one was even done without an emergency drip clip because the nurses couldn't find a vein and it was lunch time and the surgeon wasn't worried and wanted his lunch!
As for the neuropathy. ....I'm sure you're right but noone has said and I'm a bit afraid to ask what they suspect. But I'm a realist and I can see something's not quite normal. The good thing......I have another appointment in three months. This is a health service which has regular checks. The latest addition to my B vitamins was zinc.
Hope all goes well for your OH on Monday. Mine regularly has polyps removed but he has been lucky to date and they've been done at the same time as the colonscopy so only one visit each time.
Now, we've just had our first frost but I had brought in the geraniums and fuschias and everything else will survive. It's very beautiful though.
Love Karen
Why wouldn’t they want them Northerner, I’m 45 and I’d still like one They look amazing! Xx
Morning all thanks for kind comments about sweetie hampers ....the hardest part is getting containers at a reasonable price as half only ever find there way back lol
The reason they are popular is because they are full of rubbish E number sweets The ones you remember from childhood . Dib dabs ,sherbert fountains ,refresher bars ,Parma violets ,love hearts ,flying saucers etc etc
They like to think they are grown up and sophisticated then delve into sweeties like 6 year olds
Hahaha, old time sweets, Margaret! Good for you!
hugs xxx

If you have any other questions that you think I might be answer please just ask or PM me. But really there isn't much else to say because it was over in ten minutes. After the anesthetic took effect, the surgeon put a glass ring around my eye to keep it open. You can't feel it. After that everythings a blur....literally until you uncover the eye 12 hours later. I couldn't believe what I hadn't seen for months. There were houses on the hill I'd never seen in the five years we lived here. You may need to buy some cheap reading glasses if you have been short sited because you probably won't be able to read without and it will be a few weeks before the optician will prescribe your exact requirements.
It was the beautiful day I anticipated. I had a lovely walk. I do have photos but no icon?
Lovely and reassuring, and Bonjour,@Lamcomtept...(I am sorry but the site wont update your name in blue...)
