    Hi Helen

we tried that just after he moved in, but it just didn’t work.  Luckily he doesn’t wear jumpers, he prefers to wear a fleece, he has those with and without sleeves, easier for him too as he has Parkinson’s with Lewy Body dementia.

Just switched tv off and only  have to get sleepy cat off my lap and Into her bed before I go to mine

    Night night everyone x

  • Good morning......

We have another beautiful, hot day forecast so I hope you do too. There is no doubt the warmth and light lifts the spirits......

I was reading some of you have restarted your treatment with chemo so I am hoping you won't feel too many side effects but if you should......don't compare yourself to anyone else. Don't feel guilty if you need to rest. Look after yourself and your needs.........Use the monthly chemo thread to support each other but don't be afraid to ask questions if you have difficulties. There is so much advice and experience around, especially from a thread like this one........

For the rest of us......continue to stay safe. Pictures of idiots Europe wide on beaches and in town centres on France2 this morning are alarming. Tempting though it is to venture further and into busier situations, the cameras show just how little social distancing is being practiced in reality........  Many French maires have wisely reclosed their beaches and beauty spots for the bank holidays and we still have the 100km driving limit which the police are heavily monitoring but many people still seem to think they know best and it's  over. It is not . 271 new cases in  France yesterday admitted to hospital. Is this because of the deconfinément on May 11th?. The timing is right. 5 days incubation and 5/6 days to get really sick. OH and I will definitely be staying very local for this holiday.

Love to all. Enjoy today if you can.   .

    Love Karen

Morning Fruit Loops, well it’s a dull and windy day here, bring back the sun, it makes us all feel better.

  • Morning, fruit loops,

thinking of all who have treatment/appointments/scans/whatever today and hoping all goes well. , hope you’re beginning to feel better.

Well I got out for my walk, I woke feeling cool, checked the time, was almost tempted to pull up the duvet but thought no, this is the time to get out. So I did! 2 miles walked, home, stripped and showered, Had coffee, and breakfast, washing machine now almost finished with bedding, dishwasher almost done too, this level of activity cannot last!

    Hugs xxx

I know that, on occasion, we have to say goodbye to a much loved fruit loop. Last night my hairdressers FB page posted that a much loved member of their team list her battle with  BC. Unfortunately for her it had spread into her brain. She left behind  2 young sons who have had a poorly mummy for most of their young lives. As far as I know she wasn't an official fruit loop, but everyone loved her, and I know  the fruit loops would have given her a lit of comfort and love

  • It’s so sad when anyone has to go but especially when young ones involved

  • Oh , really sad to hear about young families being left. Cancer is such an indiscriminate beast.

  • Well everyone I'm not sure this affects many of us in this current situation but......

So what's everyone up too? Or perhaps I should say What would you be up too IF we weren't in Lockdown (well sort of lockdown)?

I think the best option for everyone is.....

But don't forget to do a bit of exercise during the weekend. I nice dog walk? Bit of gardening? Some decorating maybe?

Whatever you do, Stay Safe, Stay Inside and Stay Loopy!!!!

Sending Love and Hugs to you all. Sal xxxx

well done on all the exercise you have done today! Keep it up!!

hope you are feeling a bit better and you have managed to stay away from Hotel NHS!! Sending (((((special hugs))))) your way xxx

I'm sorry to hear about the lady you know! Hearing things like this is always a stark reminder that although BC is very treatable, sadly some ladies and gents aren't so lucky! Hearing there are young children involved just sounds awful. But hopefully there is a loving dad and loving grandparents and Aunts or Uncles, who will help these children through the coming months and ensure they are not only loved but that they are helped to remember their mum in the coming months/years!

God Bless her! Another Angel has gained her wings!

Sending (((((((Big Hugs)))))) your way Sue xxxx
