  • Oh My Goodness! Just as I thought things couldn’t get much worse! Last night I had the not so joyous Acid Reflux AGAIN! Haven’t had it for ages! But woke with burning chest and throat! Took my meds and raised my bed etc then after about an hour dropped off! Then woke about an hour ago with the wheeze and COUGH!!

Won’t go into detail but COUGH and “THE RUNS” really don’t work well together! Frowning2

I did finally get an appointment letter through to see someone on the 11th Feb! It says it’s a Pre Op appointment, which I assume means I see someone tell them exactly what I told the last 2 GP’s and they decide what tests, if any, they need to do!! Why do I get a nasty feeling that this problem isn’t going to be sorted anytime soon!!Cry I know I shouldn't moan as there are people much worse off than me, I’m just exhausted! Feeling completely washed out!

Have a Good Sunday Everyone! Love You xxxxxxx

Blimey , they must REALLY like you if they've squirreled you away in ICU! As you say, no wonder we can't break you out...

As well as sending in fruity mariachi bands to entertain you, we'll have to hide in the nearest linen cupboard and make rope for when when they finally wheel you out onto a ward where it's easier to get hold of you!

In the meantime, wishing you all the very best - hope you feel much better very soon!

    Big hugs!

Oh Sal, what a pain in the arse, literally and otherwise! You're really going through it at the moment, and it's not a surprise that you feel washed out  - diarrhoea will do that to you anyway, let alone the worry of trying to plan your life around toilets and the ability to get there at short notice!

At least the appointment is on the horizon and that it's a pre-op assessment. Usually that means that they know what they're going to do and it's the appointment to see whether you're fit to undergo it. Hopefully they'll tell you what the op is and that the actual thing won't be too long afterwards.

Hope you managed to get some more sleep after the rude awakening and that you have as good a Sunday as possible without TOO many loo visits.

Big (but gentle) hugs to you!

  • Thanks Cathy () I did get a couple more hours sleep, thankfully. Although I am sure I’ll still manage a nap or two today!! Just need to walk Bella and then I’ll be relaxing with my feet up......barring any loo visits that is!!

Hope you are doing okay or as okay as you can be! What day is it you get your other eye sorted? I really hope it helps and it gives you a better quality of life, I know you’ve been struggling for the last few months!
Looking forward to seeing some more Cathy Creations Wink Take Care Hun xxxxxx

Oh , that is awful. It seems to have been going on forever,  Cant you camp in the surgery and refuse to move? After you've monopolized thehr toilets for a while, and undoubtedly had to demand extra toilet paper a few times  they'll probably take you srriously.

It makes me so angry that doctors can hear everything we say, and seem  to understand just bad problems, are, and then we are told they'll think about in a couple of weeks. What is wrong with these people? They wouldn't put up with having diarrhoea for a fraction of the time themselves. Why is it ok for patients to suffer for months?

I wish we could turn up en masse to force them to sort you out. I think I'll talk to God swat team when they come by tonight. I bet they could get results. Just you watch. XX

  • Oh dear, , what a pain! I really hope they get this sorted out for you properly! If it ain’t one end it’s the other, poor you...

    hugs xxx
