.
I feel honoured to be on that cushion and will always be proud to be a Fruit Loop. (I'm on top row round specs with Bertie )
Hoping Viv sees it and it brings a smile. LondonLass thanks so much xxx
Thats brilliant Sal, LondonLass, to do it in such a small amount of time, I am sure Viv and her family will be thrilled with it, just to show how much we Fruit Loops pull together and that we are all there for each other. It’s great that Viv is on the group photo too.
I am second from the left at the bottom.
Have a lovely weekend everyone xx
Sal (LondonLass ) - the cushion is beautiful (apart from my ugly mug ) - thanks so much for getting it done so quickly, hopefully Viv will be able to see and and know that all us fruityloops are there in spirit to support her and her family. If not, I'm sure the family will treasure it and know how much she was cared for here.
I'm the one with the baby orangutan hair...
Hi LondonLass
beautiful thought .. beautiful gift
Morning all, LondonLass the cushion is wonderful, as are everybody’s comments about it. The cushion was emotional enough, then WhatHappened, your post finished me off. But deep breath and carry on. LondonLass as always you rise above all your own troubles to support others, how you got it all together in such a short time is really amazing. Thank you so much. Btw I am the one with the dog. HFxx
I know that quite a few people on here have GPs that need a bit of a kick, but just thought I'd share some good practice!
I have the 'privilege' of being a blue card patient at my surgery (for people with complex medical needs) so they do try to accomodate me when I go in. Sometimes I have to say 'no, it's okay, I don#t need priority'!
Yesterday, I felt increasingly 'not right' so went into the GP at 12:10 to see if I could get an emergency appointment later in the day or a phone call to see if I could get some antibiotics (OI felt distinctly kidneyish again) before the weekend to stop me having to visit A&E.
So, in at 12:10, was told that I had hit it right as it was the 'sit and wait clinic'. Saw the GP at 12:15, she sent the prescription to Tesco. They filled it straight away and I was home with the first antibiotic on board by 12:40...
Hopefully I can avoid the 'party' in A&E this weekend now...
Back to sieving my wee...
Thank You for all the wonderful comments I was brought to tears by the emotion and strength, that shines through from each and every one of you. Viv, I know, enjoyed the meet up so much and I feel meeting people face to face in some ways makes losing anyone much harder! Now I know to some that might sound odd, but while we converse on here, we only know the Name, unless we’ve shared photo’s! But on the meet up that ‘name’ becomes a real person! A person who hugs you and laughs with you and suddenly becomes a very close friend who you feel very protective of! It’s difficult to explain!
I’m not saying that I feel closer to those I have met versus those I just chat to online. Because people like Lacomtekp I am close too, although I am USELESS at remembering to email her, which I think is why she came back on Sorry Hun! It’s just ‘different’ when you have had the pleasure of sitting and talking face to face with no subjects being out of bounds......believe me on our meet ups with TALK about EVERYTHING and ANYTHING! Some talk more than others, but we all listen and we eat and some drink (wombat.23) Gay will tell you have to get free drinks!!
Its just amazing and I wish you could ALL get to one!
Although i’m not sure there’s anywhere that could cope with a Fruit Loop Invasion!!
Anyway I actually came on to put names to faces.....
Again if anyone doesn’t want this left on just say.....
From the top left to Right....
Janette (), Sue (), Helen (Snowys Mum), Karen (toxophilite), Sal (LondonLass), Alison (HappyFeet1), Pru (seaspirit44), Lynne (Optimistic), Helen (moomy), Jenny (), Jo (JoDec) and Cathy ()!
Thanks for sharing Cathy (). It’s lovely to hear that some GP surgeries/health authorities have it ‘right’! Sadly I don’t think it’s the norm anymore! It still remains a postcode lottery and I think the more patients on a surgeries books the less they seem to have ‘time’ let alone resources to care!
Fingers crossed the antibiotics do the trick! As we don’t want you off partying in A&E! They can’t cope with you in there Hope you feel better soon! Xxx
Just in case you are wondering who is on the meet up photo here are the names xx
It would be great if we could all “ Beam me up Scotty “ like in star trek what fun we would have and what havoc we would cause xx
Thankyou LondonLass this is a lovely gesture Have to admit I'm not a photo person and was a bit unsure but I'm glad I did it now and proud to have met some of you lovely ladies what a lovely group we have xx
