Hi Fruity Loops,
Lovely quiet day here, I've been doing bits of decorating and Graham and Bertie have been out on the garden for a bit of play in the grass. Graham is a veteran of grass playing but Bertie is appalled at the outdoors.
I loved the steradent story wasn't it fun and lighthearted in those days. Of course patient care always came first and also respect for senior nurses and medical staff (which is in low supply now) but the fun and laughs xxx I remember like it was yesterday my first ward, the ward maid, who only worked on that ward, and kept it spotlessly clean, standing in the kitchen smoking a fag making the porridge feeding the patients, making huge plates of toast for us, none of it her job, bless her. We once thought a patient had had a stroke, rang the houseman on call, he confirmed the stroke wrote the notes etc, then I found she had her teeth and also someone else's teeth in as well and the 'stroke' was just two pairs teeth 
Well my dears I have to go out to an Elvis night !!!! It's a cousin doing it for charity so I have to go...wish me luck xxxxxx

And poor Bertie- I have a vision of him freaking out at the edge of the grass! Xx

Some great stories from you nurses! It’s a bit sad that things have become so serious these days. I’m sure there are lots of patients who would enjoy being able to have a laugh with the nurses! Thanks for sharing the stories, i’m Sure you both have many more!
Snowys Mum, I hope you had a lovely time. LP asked where you were going and who Elvis was. I tried to explain that he was known as the king! I think he got the wrong idea as he asked if he could go with you and this is how I found him earlier this evening......
Poor little thing was very disappointed that he didn’t get to go with you. I promised him that I would ask his Aunty Helen if he could go next time! Hope that was okay!
