Seaspirit 44 ......so pleased about your news ......x

  • Thank you and , so relieved. The prospect of being immobilised with a horrid boot thing on was not a good one, on top of everything else. Walking keeps me sane.

Are you stable Mabel , and when do you get your scan results , xx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

  • Oh,so pleased it all went well,....and so pleased no fracture!!not surprised to hear you have been “overdong” it a bit!!!

LPmade me smile!!he must be getting used to Hospitals now,and sort of be “part of the furniture”!!!! Xx

Maybe ,you should be getting him a high-viz jacket so that nobody sits in him!!and I do hope your horrid cold gets a bit better soon xx

  • Thank you xx

Sorry lovely people, I've been missing in action AGAIN! Don't seem to have time to visit here as much as I did, despite not really doing anything else with my days! I've been extra tired recently so have been napping a lot. I think it's due to quadrupling the dosage of nortryptyline, which I take for nerve pain as I have a new random nerve pain in one of my legs - like being stabbed with a red hot knife!

    - glad to hear that your scan results were not what you feared, although arthritis is nothing to be glad about either really!!!

    - good luck with the oncology appointment tomorrow - I have one as well -  staging scans last Friday so results tomorrow to see if the chemo is continuing to work. I'm not sure it is as my lung symptoms are increasing again, but it's been a balancing act between reducing the dose so that I don't end up in hospital every time and it actually doing its job!

    - sorry to hear that you've got the lurghy - hope it disappears soon and that your knee is giving you less pain whilst you're off work.

    - get in there ! Congratulations on all the records - national champion next...

    - you're in that horrible waiting period again - - hopefully the next week+ will pass quickly and the scans will be as positive as possible!

I haven't read back  fully, so I'm BOUND to have missed something important, so to everyone else - hugs whenever and wherever you need them and fireworks for those with positive news!

Weeblemum, was only thinking today that I had not seen you on here lately .....good luck with the results of your staging scan ....x

  • good to hear you won't be forced off your feet!!! Although +1 to   - arthritis isn't much fun either.

    Hugs xx

  • Hi Seaspirit,

so very happy it’s not a fracture but a bummer that it’s arthritis, plus tendon and ligament strain, hope orthotics can help you. Yes, this is when a really good podiatrist is really needed! And if what they suggest doesn’t work then go back and say why it’s not quite right!

Hugz to you and all fruit loops xxx

  • We had our external Technical Audit today. I was remarkably chilled going into it - I guess that's all the blood sweat and tears of last year paying off.

We came away with a couple of minor observations, and NO majors!!!!

This in spite of my office manager saying repeatedly over the last few days that she doesn't give a shit about NSI (our governing body), doesn't care about the audit, got more important things to do blah blah blah.

It seems I can soar on my own - and leave the damn turkeys gobbling over the scraps!!!

    Teehee!

    xx
