Hi Sal Snowflake and everyone BlushI had a sore throat all yesterday and getting s cold today, lots of viruses in winter Snowflake️ Snowflake️ no snow here but very cold with rain.

Had a call from one of the practice nurses at GP practice yesterday and received a whole list of times and dates for daily stomach ( Tinzaparin) injections to avoid blood clots. It means I can get out in afternoons take exercise, do yoga classes, see people etc.

The DN’s will continue to give injections at weekends.  I have the daily injections initially for 4 months.

Got my next Oncologist meeting on Friday 25th Jan, Monday 28th Jan Guy’s Hospital for Mandibular Assisted Device ( Sleep Apnea) fitting. Feb 4th CT Scan, Feb 6th Eye laser treatment to remove build up of cells   so Opthalmologist can see back of eye. Then possible op to replace gel as have Asteroid Hylosis.

Feel tired as getting towards the middle of another chemo tablet cycle. Got a “ gentle” yoga taster class with others on Tuesday at the Macmillan Horizon Centre, so need to change that day’s injection time.

Hope everyone is keeping warm Blush

  • Hi Violetsniff, and everyone of you lovely people.

Sorry not been on this week .

But went to Ballet and it was lovely , hubby enjoyed it too and it was a complete sellout .

We had a lovely day , lunch , Ballet and supper before going home on the bus , free for over 60s and nice and relaxing , ok take one and a half hours but very restful .

I got my nipple tattoo and very impressed , think it takes two more visits . My son said “Mum you can go topless now !” Eh I didn’t do that before , so , nope don’t think I will do it now !

wee bit sad,  a lady I befriended at Chemo passed away preacefully this morning , she has had various cancers for years and the last chemo was experimental to buy time . But it was not to be .

Wee bit guilty that I didn’t get round to visiting her at home but my hubby was so protective of me and didn’t want me to take  on any  responsibility  - she was older and with the year I had, and loosing my mum he didn’t want me getting too involved , I have a tendency to overdo my helpfulness . She has her own family but her poor hubby is in a  home with dementia. Once she went into the hospice I must admit to being a bit frightened to visit. We kept in touch through WhatsApp. I have been chatting to her daughter today .

I had a nice lunch with 3 ex work mates and baby Maisie , who is a delight .

Hope you are all well and I will have a read through your posts to catch up .

    love

    • My face looks better when I smile - so smile it is !
  • Good evening everyone,

Hi , I'm so glad your daughter has seen sense, I think you taking a back seat for a while would of hopefully made them think - and it seems like its worked.  Safe journey home xxxx

Owwuchhh , your poor knee looks painful.  Like you say a fall or trip does knock our confidence and shakes the body up - main thing to keep thinking - it can as does happen to everyone and anyone, its just one of those things.  You get yourself better - slowly does it, no rushing - I hope Pia isn't like any of my cats, this seems to be getting more and more common with them, they are deliberately trying to trip me up, I walk one way and they 'cut in front of me', so I go to the side, then they cut in front again - I swear its deliberate arrrghh xxxx

Dearest , I do think you are right about how 'other ways' play an important role in how a family member behaves.  I noticed this years back and if I am honest the first few Christmases after my husband and I had got together, I did favour my parents of the presents I purchased! I am not sure what happened or what made me think about it, from then I made a conscious effort that the presents for both sets of families would be if possible the same or as near as.  (Maybe I would treat mine at other times of the years, but that was my doing arrgghhh).  I felt good that if or when they spoke they would see or hear they had the same. I am so glad I did, I can look back and hold my head high Hugging

Ps Snowys Mum - Please don't let work put on you too much.... 12 hour shift tomorrow not nice, I will be thinking of you xxxx

Sending love to all you lovely Fruit Loops, from the snowless Midlands xxxx

I'm hoping this makes sense - only my mind says one thing and my fingers type whatever they like x
