.

  • Better do this now as I'm not sure what time your appointment is . Not forgetting

Well Ladies the day has arrived and I am sure you are both feeling a little nervous, okay , ALOT nervous! But you will be fine Hun. They will give you something to make it a more comfortable procedure and...........

LP will be there to support you every step of the way! Gay he will be there to assist you too, but PLEASE keep him away from the actual machine Squashed LP is NOT going to be a pretty sight and although he's a right little nuisance at times, we still love him and need him!

So ladies, give LP a little squeeze and remember that every one of the Fruit Loops is in that room with you. Think of what we would be saying.....

    "it's almost over"

    "you CAN do this"

"you are stronger than you think"

    "we love you"

    "stay calm"

    "deep breaths"

and of course the most important one. "We are here for you"!

So put those Big Girl pants on and go do it! This time tomorrow it'll be all done and dusted! Love you Both. Sal, LP and not forgetting LNP! Xxxxx

  • Especially for you , and anyone else due a mammogram in the coming weeks! It made me smile.......

    Xxxxxx

  •  and  - I totally agree with all that  has said, we are all with you and we would be saying all of this, and even having a joke when its all over.  Thinking of you and sending love and hugs.

Dearest  - your last post was lovely, so kind and thoughtful.  I love all the quotes you have said, they are all the ones we would say, and you know what, we are the only ones that can say these to each other, because we have been there, we know what these words mean. {{{{HUGS}}}}.

I hope you are okay, you need to step back and have some 'you' time, some fun time, some forget about it all and just have you time. Thinking of you and sending love and hugs.

I'm off for a cuppa and then bed.  Sweet dreams everyone xxxxxx

I'm hoping this makes sense - only my mind says one thing and my fingers type whatever they like x

Good luck and anyone else having tests or treatment today

  • and hope your appointments went relatively smoothly today.

Sal, your medical peeps are right - you need to put yourself first for a while. And second. And third. The x-rays are for your knees I assume? Please take the time out and make the most of it. Feet up, sleep when you need to.

thinking of you and hoping you're doing okay.

    Happy weekend everyone!!

  • Thank you for your lovely messages everyone and for sending L.P.  He was very well behaved as I think he knew I was so scared and sat and hugged me. All done and dusted it wasn't as bad as I thought but i was  panicking at the end as I just wanted to get the big thing stuck in my mouth to keep it open out  which seemed reasonable to me.  They took biopsy to check for celiac so waiting again  Apparently they found a small Hiatus Hernia but didn't say much about it have to wait for follow up but no nasties they could see  All set for oncology next Tuesday L.P. again please !  ? He'll be tired out. I have lots of stomach pain from camera so getting  spoilt.

i was thinking of you hope L.P. helped you too and you get quick results xxx

  • Hiya all,

, thank you for your lovely words, love you too! LP was great, amazing chap, being in two places at once. He got a bit close to the machine at one point but I nudged him out of the way. As tox said, take some time out for you now, No 1 priority. In fact I have given LP strong instructions that you need to focus on YOU now. I have told him to get very cross with you if you don't. And watch out if you have never come across a cross guinea pig!!!! Am I right thinking a bday is coming up? (forgive me if I am wrong, now I am back at work I don't always get time to read all posts)

I took painkillers half an hour before mammo and that really helped. And the radiographer was lovely. Thank goodness she did not know me this time! She kept complimenting me on how good my reconstructed boob looked, which was nice but then made a comment implying my natural boob didn't look as good Joy . # wonky tits and proud!! Apparently bcn will phone me with results, not sure when as I won't be able  to answer the phone when I am working.

Glad it went ok with no nasties. Enjoy being spoilt.

    Cwtches,

    Gay xxx

  • It's on Monday , BUT........

    Don't tell anyone!

Glad your mammogram went well. Will keep fingers crossed for good results! Xx

, well done on getting through your appointment. At least now you can find out for sure if celiac disease is your issue! If so you can start to learn to live with it, not easy but certainly better than constantly suffering with stomach issues!

I too have a hiatus hernia, apparantly lots of people do! But they don't do anything about it unless it's causing real issues! Now relax and let your family look after you! Very proud of you for facing your fears xxx

Hope EVERYONE can enjoy a lovely weekend. Xxxxx
