Morning everyone off to my friend ‘s this evening for a few drinks.yesterday she asked if we could wear xmas jumpers.at least of of them was going to rush out and buy one.i said don’t ,I’m sure I have spare.went rooting around and found 6 jumpers (not all mine!)and a bag of silly hats so you may get a photo later of half a dozen squiffy ladies in some strange outfits .now all I need to do is remember to take the bags with me to when we go to do Dad’s shopping, pick dad up then go to see mum at nursing home, so hubby can drop me off at party on the way back.they are at the door but will probably still rely on hubby remembering as I am hopeless these days
have a good day everyone.its pouring down here in Manchester
Morning Fruityloops!
Well, as Sal says, it's getting to the stage where I can't ignore the fact that the C word is coming - I might need to get off my quite considerable backside and do some kind of shopping! Not putting the tree up until the weekend before Christmas though!
Hoping to keep away from Hotel BHS this weekend, although my OH now has a nasty case of manflu - just when my bloods are likley to be lowest. We said last week that we must find some other place to go on a Sunday than A&E, although it is a cheap date I suppose!!!
I saw oncologist yesterday and he thinks we're now just about there with getting the dosage right and he's happy for me to continue on the chemo - I now have to see him every cycle, which isn't a hardship - at least I know I'm being well looked after! Yesterday he said I was 'special' - not sure that was a positive thing given all the problems I've given him over the past few weeks!
Had my central line removed on Wednesday - my word, that was a bit of a brutal process! The matron who did it wasn't exactly gentle and although it didn't take long, the tugging was not pleasant! She said it was well attached (well, it certainly felt like that!) as it's been in almost 11 months. She showed me it at the end and around one of the lobes that the body grows round was a large lump of my flesh - I think it must have been that that hurt when it ripped as she was tugging!!!
Oh, and I picked up my new glasses yesterday - I CAN SEE AGAIN!!! People will no longer have to avoid me on the roads and I can see the TV. Only downside is that I can't see short distances with these glasses, so now have to have two pairs with me at all times! Fingers crossed my eyes won't change any more and that I can seeing all that flying poop coming my way now! I brought it up as a side effect with the oncologist yesterday and he said that he's not worried about it as although it's annoying, the chemo is keeping me alive and that's the main thing! I love my oncologist!!!
Not really got anything planned for this weekend, so can't think of a reason not to go shopping...
Love and hugs to everyone!
Hi all yesterday we walked to our local garden centre and picked and paid for tree .It was being delivered last night as it wouldn't fit in car .Hubby got decorations out and daughter had one she'd recently bought ready to put on well guess what it never turned up so daughter had to sadly put her decoration back Hubby just got up and it's apparently arrived woo hoo ! Off to york today for our yearly day trip Have a lovely day xxxxxxxx

LondonLass...your post made me feel all Christmassy...thankyou...you do do a sterling job on here xxxx
Finally got round to wrapping presents for 26 little ones at my toddler group last night.thank goodness most of them were books so no silly shapes to wrap as I’m not very good at it.now I just have to buy all the party food and get it all to the church hall for Tuesday morning’s party.wish I didn’t still have family presents to do,and buy in some cases!thank goodness for older nephews and niece W ho just need money putting in Xmas money wallets.anyone here love wrapping and making everything look beautiful?sadly I’m not like that though it would be wasted on all the little ones as they just rip the paper off and throw it on the floor.my friend who normally runs the group with me isn’t around at the moment so I’m hoping the parents/carers/childminders will muck in and help me.it will be hard work but I love it.Niw which Xmas jumper shall I wear and we’re on earth did I put my flashing xmas teddy or tree earrings
