Haha ! I am being well looked after, but object to the way I’m spoken to by one or two of the nurses. Just happened again. I very stupidly set off on walkabout but of course I have to stay in my room, and she spoke to me as if I were a recalcitrant toddler. Bloody sick of it. I have been pacing my room, fortunately big and counting the steos on my phone. Sounds obsessive but that’s how I always get through things, keeping active. I’m allowed out to go to xray though. I think they have forgotten my tea though.......xxxx
I’m a terrible patient. It’s very hard being a medic and a patient, can’t bear the patronisation from some of them. Rant over xxxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Haha , yes am allowed to drink now. The diarrhoea is likely caused by the gastrograffin. Have that to deliniate the bowel on xray. They are just playing safe which is perfectly reasonable. It is a good sign that everything is going through, so positive. Tea is on its way, I will stand at the door ready for another battle.
Are you OK? xxxx

Good that it isn't likely to be something that is not serious!
I'm fine thanks - chemo done and dusted this morning. Bloods a bit better than this time last cycle, so hopefully the neutrophils will hold up enough to prevent an Hotel NHS visit this time. It'll be Sunday(ish) that will be the telling point, so fingers crossed!
Another staging CT scan tomorrow at 08:30 (you'd think we'd get a lie in now being retired...) then oncol appointment next Friday, so we'll see what happens after that!
Take care - hope you manage to get home sooner rather than later!
Good luck , I hope you avoid hitel NHS this time xxxx

Oh i hate it when people in hospital, well in general are not treated with dignity and respect, its tge least they coukd do for you seaspirit44
Not sure where to put this post but have to dump it somewhere before I explode and it did stop me having my afternoon nap!!
Now for someone who doesn't do "anger" I am absolutely fuming. Just settled down for a nap, actually in bed when my phone rang....four calls I got in all supposedly from my bank telling me that my account was in danger and they had stopped two suspicious transactions this morning. Asking me all sorts of daft questions as if I was going to answer them!!!! Couldn't settle after that so no nap but I have checked my account on line and everything is fine. Such time wasting morons and even with my weakened chemo brain state I was able to cope with it but some weak and elderly don't and it makes me so bloody mad....
Ok I feel better now
WELL DONE not falling for the scam in your weakened state. What utter bas****s! It would be worth reporting to the bank and ICO. They may have already heard about yhem snd may be abke to bring them to account. How infuriating xxxx
