  • Morning All, Good to see a bit of activity on the thread! , great to see you are fact home! Really hope you are there to stay for a bit now! LP will be along on Wednesday to keep you company (if I remember)!!!'

Well I am pleased to say I am having a wonderful time. Prickles and I have just laughed and laughed. I haven't felt this relaxed in a long time! I'm knackered and was in a bit of pain yesterday, but I don't care! It's been worth it just to have so much fun! I thank Macmillan from the bottom of my heart for bringing Prickles and all of you Fruit Loops into my life!

    So I shall say.......

Hope it's a Good One for all.

I've resigned myself to the fact that my results will get here when they get here no point stressing! If Lymphoedema Nurse can't do anything then she'll have to give me another appointment! I hate wasting her time, but I have tried to sort things and they aren't listening so what else can I do!

Right, might see if I can get another hours sleep! Take care EVERYONE, love you all xxxxxxx

Hi   - I have a concentrator as well, bit they've given me 5 small cylinders and a large one as well! I won't be using them all the time (at the moment at least), only when I have bad days!

Yes, we've had to tell the house and car insurance people - they don't charge extra on premiums, but they like to know just in case anything happens! BOC actually deliver and insure the canisters/machinery so we don't have to worry about covering them. It seems to be a very good service!

When you go on holiday, you aren't meant to carry more than you need with you - you tell them where you're going and BOC deliver the equipment to your destination then pick it up again when you come home. When they come to service the concentrator, they take reading on how much you've used it and you get the amount of electricity used refunded back to your account!

All these things I didn't know before...

How are your chemos going now?

Thank you for all for your words of support, so sorry for the delay.  I woke up at 1am on Thursday night feeling quite rough with a low temp, I crawled into work yesterday, and was feeling progressively worse.  I had to go into A&E - by the time I got there  it shot up to 39.7.  They gave me intravenous antibiotic and then a week's course, luckily it's only an infection.  I thought it was just joint pain and that I'd be wasting their time.

    - sorry to hear that you've been poorly - make sure that you rest and be kind to yourself!

I think we're all a bit reluctant to call the chemo unit and go to A&E when we feel 'off' - however ill we feel, the thought of sitting in A&E and possibly being taken into hospital is not what we want, and it's never easy to work out what is just side effects and what is a real or potential emergency!

However, your experience (and my recent 9 day stay in hospital) just shows that it IS important to do just that!!!

    Hugs to you:
