Hi All, are replies missing or has no-one been on all day?

Went to A+E wasn't there long, they x rayed chest and back but wouldn't give me results and didn't give any sort of diagnosis  just gave more co-codamol…. so waste of time really. would secondaries show on an xray or would it be mri scan? I don't know.

Anyway by the time I got home in complete agony and to make matters worse I must have slept awkwardly as my neck was joining the pain team....waiting game now until the 24th.

Then at 6pm (exactly as they close) the gp surgery phoned to say gp wants to see me in morning regarding blood tests - quick or what- but don't you just hate that as I'll worry all night now.

Hope everyone's ok as it's so quiet on here.

    did you escape yet?

    xx

Oh Mazda , nightmare , I hate it when they say I will see you tomorrow or next week and then don’t give you the results , yes , I would worry all night too , but it doesn’t help ! This happened tome and

I was really panicking , but when I got there it was not bad news . I don’t think they realise how some of us worry . I don’t know if secondaries would show on an x Ray , but if the pain is now  In your neck as well , maybe you can hope it is some sort of inflammation, or something ? I suppose you have to think that at least you are being seen , and it seems to be about blood tests not the x Hibiscusy ? It is madness that you have been left in this amount of pain for days , I can’t think of anything helpful to say ......the site does seem quiet , but 2 are on holiday , I think and 2 more seem tHibiscusbe taking a break , I was hoping to hear weeblemum had gone home .......best wishes and good luck etc etc HibiscusHibiscusno idea why the flowers have spontaneously popped up .....

  • How worrying , so sorry you have been left in pain like this. Secondsries sometimes show on x-ray but not always, and. sometimes a nuclear scan is needed. It may not be anything sinister, but you really need more answers sooner. Hope your GP can offer better pain relief, abd what a nasty trick to leave you worrying all night. Big hugs xxxxxxx

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!

Thanks puzzler, we all panic don't we. Hope it's not the same gp … he was an ass. I've been in pain for 3 weeks now …. it was months before they diagnosed my arm, because it was a bit rare and they then gave me the gabapentin. At least last night the co-codamol with gabapentin helped a little so I got a bit of sleep.

It's going to be a long night!

    How are you doing?

    xx

Thanks Seaspirit, They always seem to do those nasty tricks, like on a Friday usually, so you worry all weekend. I hope it's nothing serious but we jump straight to the worst don't we.

Have you had your botox treatment yet?

    xx

    - nope, still in hotel NHS, but I think tomorrow will definitely be the day!

Have been seen by palliative care team today , who suggested some new meds for pain and breathlessness. They're referring me to the community team for any support I might need in the future, and to the lymphoedema nurse to see what's happening with the non-affected boob! Oxygen being delivered home tomorrow for timex when I need it!

Hickman line has given up giving blood so IV nurse has put in some super strong clot buster in case it's that. She wanted to leave it in for 24 hours before it is drained and retried, which is why they kept me in tonight...

I've passed the 'stab yourself with fragmin' test so will go home with loads of injections and a trolley full of other new meds.

Can't fault the hospital for making sure everything's in place before I go - they seem quite happy to keep me - I don't eat much and I've only rung my bell once!!!

Just need to get some quality sleep at home before starting chemo again! Let's hope for no return visit after next week...

Sorry to hear that you didn't get any joy at A&E - let's hope the GP has some sensible ideas...

    - how's it going lovely lady? Hope you're doing well!

    Hugs to everyone else!!!
