  • Hi Lynn, I am determined to stop the Oxycodone just to prove one way or the other if it's causing the Sweats! I have been on Zoladex injections for over a year and although I had flushes they were nothing like this! I literally drip with sweat! At least if I stop it I can rule it out! If that makes sense!

Yes I have been on Tamoxifen, which was a complete nightmare! Hence my reluctance to start any other drugs!
But I have my fingers crossed that it is the Oxycodone, because finding another painkiller is going to be easier than starting with a new hormone drug, or having surgery :( xx
Hope you are doing okay? Xxx
  • Thanks for your kind words Rosie1947, they are much appreciated. I do have a good sense of humour, in fact it's the only thing that has got me through the last almost 4 years ;) Although even I have days when I'm not in the mood to smile, let alone laugh! But finding the funny pics, does help me along, so I'll keep posting them.

Hope you are doing okay, I don't think anyone's journey with cancer is easy!! Xxxx

I'm sure that all you ladies who are 'awake' have gone down every route to alleviate the problem, but I wondered if you've tried lavender, or a derivative? I saw this in  Superdrug today. The blurb made me smile anyway.

Anatomicals. 'Cruisin for a snoozin' sleep balm.

    ÂŁ2.49 for 20grm.

There's similar in Holland and Barrett and other retailers. Put lavender oil on pillow or in diffuser by bed, or on forehead.

What about a lavender scented pillow?

    Just for you toxophilite........

(((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) right back at you xxxxxx

  • Well I managed 1hr of sleep, before I woke up! i'm now feeling ready to get up and start my day!! But somehow I don't think that feeling is going to last the day out!!!  Wish I could just sleep through, but clearly that might be expecting too much xxxxx

  • Let's keep all our fingers and toes crossed that it's the oxycodone!  My brother (after a serious car accident, not cancer) had fenanyl patches. They were really good for him.

As for me, I hate to boast again but the oxycodone has just made me sleep. Last night I slept from 8.45 to 8.10 am with just one wee break, and I went straight black to sleep after that. Down side is that I feel slightly high most of the time and am walking round in a daze, not safe to do anything. Good job Richard has this week off work to look after me lol.

    Stay strong honey.

    Lynn xx

  • SHOW OFF..............

Pleased you had a good sleep though! If you could send some sleep vibes this way it would be much appreciated! I am about to get up and change my sheets AGAIN :-( xxx
