Pennines at 7.45 am were being a bit dramatic this morning with the start of the Helm wind

Oh that view, Northerner , it’s glorious! It’s been dull and cloudy here all day, mild though….
i hope my plants will survive, they’ve been a bit blown about today but all are holding their heads up so far!

Not quite so dramatic this morning moomy We can watch our view over the Pennines change minute by minute . The Helm wind on Cross Fell when it blows makes spectacular cloud formations .
Added to which yesterday we had our own air show with fighter jets training ️
I’m busy changing small garden here digging plants up for potting and weed control to go down with slate to cover it then pots on top . Hoping to make it easier to maintain getting too old to be constantly digging weeds out of hard ground .
view this morning another sunny day due

Ha! Cloudy damp and drizzly here, again, Northerner ! But my potted on plants look as if they are enjoying it.
I really wanted to get out for a walk but I’m not holding my breath…..
Useful phone call from one of the breast care team this morning.

My pots empty. We had a dry Wednesday this week where I emptied last years pots cleaned them etc. it's poured down since. I need to buy some plants as I've only got a blueberry plant from last year thriving plus a hydrangea and another evergreen. Might go plant buying this afternoon.
moomy how you doing waiting for Tuesday?
Hi Grogg , thanks for asking, not wonderful as of course I know too much, having been through similar already. But it’s got to be done, just wish it had been able to be sooner!
Im thinking of getting 2 bags ready, one for use as a day case, one for son to bring in in case I don’t come home straight away…..
you sound pretty organised with cleaning out those pots, I’ve now got a big pile needing washing and of course there’s no point yet as it’s drizzling.

Looks lovely. I'm at a Trampoline park with my 3 grandchildren. Definitely not my idea of fun!!
moomy glad you got 2 bags ready
I bought loads of plants in Range as 20% off. Got a different colour hydrangea for large pot plus a couple of rhododendrons for two other large pots - I've potted these already, then a selection of colourful bedding plants.
I came home to a lovely bunch of flowers in my porch. From a former work colleague of my hubby who's been having a very difficult time. Police fed told him to apply for PIP but he was turned down so I offered to do a mandatory reconsideration for him and he had a letter this week to say he's been awarded.
Deciding what to eat now for food tonight.
