Gad you enjoyed a lunch out together, Northerner , and yes, I somehow knew you as the practical one. with us. Hubs and I both bounced the ideas off each other, he’d begin but hated doing repeat things, so he never quite completed the bookshelves, (his biggest ‘almost’ finished task) bless him. He built an easy chair but gave up after sorting its problems and never wanted to make any more! Loads of ideas got germinated but never built, bless him, items kept ‘they might be useful’

Morning All,
Just wondered f anyone on here takes Bisphosphonate. I've just started the weekly tablet. For osteoporosis and to prevent cancer going into the bones if it comes back. A jolly prospect.
Anyway had a good birthday week. Saw the Bodyguard at the theatre yesterday. Lots of dancing and singing, just my thing. First mammogram next week. My ribs are a bit sore, I don't know if that radiotherapy or something else. I'm going to ask if it doesn't go.
Happy Sunday to you. Hopefully no rain. Xx
Good morning.....
The sun is out. The sky has a pink tinge. We had plenty of heavy rain but missed the worst with very high winds just south of us on the coast.
I hope you are all safe. I have seen the floods on UK tv. Not sure where you all live but Derbyshire looked grim and I see it's still raining in Manchester this morning.
This chest infection I picked up continues to annoy. Lots of sleepless nights due to coughing.
Mum and I are going to church. She likes to go and as it's 50 minutes to the C of E english language service, she enjoys the ride. If the sun stays out, it will be pretty as there are lots of wooded lanes to drive through and they are beginning to look Autumnal.
I have a full house this week. Two sons and one partner ( What do you call a partner who has made a PAC with your son but they chose not to get married? She can't be a daughter-in-law?) Plus OH and Mum. I'm going to be busy.......
Now we must get ready.....early breakfast. A neighbour dropped in the' miniature ' squash!
Take care all.
Morning Sabrina22 I was on bisphosphonate biannual infusions for three year so seven in total . Found it ok only SE was flu like for few days but have no experience of tablets myself .
Reading posts on here if memory serves me well ,main problem was not eating for half hour and sitting up after taking tablet .
Hpoefully you’ll get a few posts of shared experiences
Went to the local garden centre today, only just up the road, did not realise it was so good. Need to replace hired feeders as squirrels have chewed them. Getting squirrel proof one. Had a cuppa on the outside seating area and it was really warm in the sun. Another pic xxx
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
If it’s any help, Sabrina22 I take the dreaded Alendronic Acid, have done for quite a few years, as I was already osteopenic before bc diagnosis. Yes it’s a pest not being able to take my regular painkillers for half an hour afterwards, but I’ve got used to the regime and sit upright to write my journal that day each week, I guess it’s a good habit to get into, I’ve written it for a few years now.
you do have a tendency to indigestion I found, but I read up about proton pump inhibitors and realise they aren’t a good idea either, so I’ve come off those (Lansoprazole and omeprazole) I guess good old Gaviscon is the only thing left?!

Thank you, it's good to know it hasn't caused any other problems. I take Rennie's. I sat up for an hour b fore moving, I think it's about distracting yourself. First Mammogram tomorrow, just feel neutral. I think either way one needs to know. Fingers crossed.
We went to see the
Bodyguard in the Theatre on Sat. Great show for me with all the singing and dancing.
