and thanks  yes I think it was shingles too,but I guess they have to be careful as it wasn’t really “textbook”.But so mercifully caught it in time as it was over my eye.Taken longer than I thought to recover as the GP said I had a bad boiut and nearly fell off her chair when I went back a week later to ask her about something and told her I had been in Hospital 5 days since a week ago when I saw her !

  • Morning fruit loops. I can’t sleep so gave up at 6.30 and where else to come? RoflRofl I’ve just spent half hour reading back on posts, sorry to hear so many of you have been ill with shingles and covid and other random bugs, winter is coming!  delighted to hear your news  hope you love the new job, you certainly gave the last one your all and deserve something easier!!  I was genuinely shocked it’s 2 years since Mr Moomy passed, I don’t know where time goes xx

All ok here! I’ve been working in the reception class this year which brings both challenges and laughs, they do say some funny things. I have to say it’s exhausting dealing with 30 4/5 year olds, the older kids I’m used to are a walk in the park by comparison!! Had both covid and flu jabs with no issues although I did feel rough for a day after the flu one. Surprisingly not been unwell (touch wood) so far this school year which is a shock as the little gremlins are filthy beasts!! Coughing on you, picking noses, etc.

I’ve broken up now so was hoping for a lie in but the sleep gods are not being kind atm! I try to keep off my phone during the night but I do regularly wake up and I’ve tried everything from sleep programs to supplements, I guess it’s just hormones and I just try not get stressed about it. I’m with you  re husbands Rofl I’ve only got one ex but he drives me demented!! I’m very jealous of you lovelies that bagged a good one!! Right! I’m getting my hair done today and have a long round trip to see my ex’s elderly uncle who’s in respite care atm so I better get up and get going, love to all Heart️

  • Hi  , I know, time has slipped by so fast this last year or so, the first year felt as if it was a bit in slow motion, if that makes sense? But yes, I’m convinced time is going by faster than ever!

Just had my heating serviced and all is well. (Hasn’t been done for a few years, fortunately a neighbours son has just qualified in this type of heating so he did it for me, was thorough too, so I’m happy)

    Hugs xxx

  • Hahaha, romantic anniversary for Mr and Mrs   then?!?!?

  • Yes   we had lunch out on our Anniversary . Today it was back to normality Joy I’m the practical one who has to follow thru when tasks need organising . It’s hilarious when in the usual male zones in places like B&Q and they address questions to Pete who has no idea what they’re talking about . Whereas I will have done research so sound like I really  know what I’m doing (an old work trick )
I have a drawer unit to paint tomorrow which will mean porch finished and then I intend to start painting kitchen . If you remember I painted all the units in lockdown and they need doing again thJoyk it will take longer than a week this time Joy but I in no rush
