.
Am with mum this weekend. She turned her phone off. I've had nothing. What a lot of hype! Hugs to all x
Yes. 2 hours 42 mins. He's pleased as he's nearly 45 now.
My op was called decompression .It was four years ago. I didn't have all of the vertebrae at L4/L5 removed....just shaved back as it was collapsing onto sciatic nerve. I still have arthritis on the bones below. Surgeon couldn't clean that....he said he tried. But for me the pain was not in my back but down the buttock and thigh , calf to ankle. That has gone now. My neuro surgeon was Egyptian living in France but writes articles which have been published in the Lancet so I was probably lucky. His English was better than mine so although I speak French he could explain everything technical in English!
I hope you get a solution soon. I would have declined something that put me in wheelchair just as you did.
Take care.
Such a great time. Does he run a lot of marathons? My husband's cousin was 3 hours 44. He is 60.
I had Alexander Technique at 21 which got my slipped disc back in and strengthened the muscles around the vertebrae. It has been really bad on and off ever since. I had morphine patches which worked well for tge pain but I was allergic to the glue and after several occasions having a whole week of morphine pumped in in one go, I was banned from having the patches by the GP!!
I had about 4 years of very manageable pain before it all started up again. Now I have the bony growth in my hip which is also arthritic and the frozen shoulder. So I moan a lot about it but I am luckier than most so really shouldn't!
Lowther three avenues of daffs my walk today

Awful trouble logging in today (again!) it kept passing me back to logging in. Had to shut down site from net and then log back in via main charity site. What’s going wrong?
Anyway, I was underwhelmed at the much-vaunted Govt alarm, it went off early for me (couple of minutes) and wasn’t very loud or intrusive, didn’t really make me jump.
Off to bed, night night Fruit Loops, sleep well and stay safe, plenty of sleepy fairy dust for all who wish
hugs xxx
Moomy
Wow Mag123 you seriously are unfortunate to have all that arthritis.I hope you have been able to overcome the pain.and well done That Man on doing the marathon at 80!,,,AND in 3 he 44!am astonished.
very sorrily I have copied this bit below as I must get on today…but it seemed to want to come out 3 times on WBTH so you will be well and truly sick of it !!
my latest project was to re-dress and re-wig this doll.It is a bit of a hybrid.I found it in a shop of old things, and kept it to do “one day”.So relieved to have done it…maybe some little girl will like to style her hair.I got rid of the horrid tatty wig and used a ball of boule for her redone hair.made the dress out of a little girls dress, and replaced the bloomers and underskirt.Great fun xx
…oh as far as walking back to happiness went…well I went into the Air Ambulance shop where my old nurse friend works, and they have sold my bird house!!so pleased….anyway was just catching up with her and suddenly she said “Would you like to do some Volunteer work here?
So I said ok but start off with an hour or so and sitting down round the back.I asked if I could sort clothes.Hopefully may be able to find some more old dolls or pretties for my crafting xx
Beautiful photos Northerner! I can't believe the daffodils are still flowering. It feels like they are later this year
