  • I am finding it 'hit and miss' if I get logged off or that my post won't post.

I did type this out before - however it is now floating around in cyberspace .....

"Thank You" all for your reply and kind words with regards to me sweet late father and the Liverpool 'Don't Care Pathway.... I hope what snowy's mum has told us does get out into the main stream media - even if it comes direct from the hospitals.....

The same very people that have paid into the NHS all their lives ..... mostly from the very beginning are being failed when they should be cared for the most - they have serviced in Wars, paid money into the service all there life, struggled and if they are not penalised because of their age with being refused basic operations and surgery - to now be not cared for in there hour of need ..... regardless on how much time or life they have left ..... truly breaks my heart.

I truly think there is no reason why care homes should not be fun - don't look at the outside of the body - look into their eyes, their soul - everyone wants to laugh.....

Did anyone see.... "Mrs Caldicot's Cabbage War" - brilliant xxx

  • Good morning....it's wet here today but mild. 11° overnight so very murky!

Hope all is well. All the Covid sufferers improving without too many ill effects? And the arthritic pains?

Chemo caused a compression in my spine( L4/L5) and I needed another operation where some vertebrae was removed and packing put in place but I've been lucky as once the muscle etc healed, it seems to have worked and at least that pain is gone. Just neuropathy now........definitive says the neurologue!

My son is running the London Marathon today. Number 2488 he says. He says he too expects rain.

    Have a good day all.

  • I have fallen way behind on all the posts on this thread so my apologies for asking a question to which the answer would be obvious if I had kept up Lacomtekp, but was the spinal op a recent thing? How long did it take to recover? I have damaged vertebrae following an accident 37 years ago and I was told I would need an op to remove the discs but that it would put me in a wheelchair after 7 years. I refused tge op and had Alexander techniques instead which helped. I do now have arthritis in the area and do not want an op.

Good luck to your son in the London Marathon. My husband's cousin is running you but I don't know his number.

  • Someone from my dancing group told me to take the risk of osteoporosis seriously. I already have it in my wrists and have treatment for it. I am a bit haphazard about taking it twice daily as instructed. She got it from hormone blockers and 2 spinal fractures. So good to share our experiences, I have learnt such a lot through doing this. Hope your pain or neuropathy lessens. X

  • Is he Neil Phillips? I have the App and am following our cousin so put your son's number in too

  • Fruit Loops, please don’t get scared at 3pm today when your phone sends you an alarm, it’s the UK Govt test!
