I don’t know very much about diabetes in general but my sister in law is type one, she bales cakes using natvia instead of sugar and a chocolate substitute, the results are delicious. Natvia is a plant based sweetener not chemical like some of those out there.
@mag123 in type 2. What I've learnt is it's carbs that's important as all carbs turn to sugar. So you can have cake in moderation. Adding full cream - which is fat, to a cake can help your body deal with the carbs better. I love scones but substitute with a Welsh cake as fraction of size but more delicious and I add sone butter on top !
I sent you one. If you go to your profile then it should flag up there is a request waiting. My only option is to cancel it, I can't resend. You're very welcome to join us. Not sure yet when. Do you work? X

I haven’t read many pages. moomy I expect you will have been on a journey in your van by now. I’m 4 years too. We were around the same time. I was diagnosed the 21st of this month. Hope you’re doing ok seaspirit44Just seen the tip about sugar substitute Jacuzzi Jack which will come in handy. Saw being mentioned. Lovely about the daffs. I often wonder about puzzler but knowing how she was last times she was on here I feel that she may have gained her wings. She was always doing something. I will hopefully catch up more but for now I’m just pleased I’ve managed to access the thread. Any signs of a gathering this year LondonLass?

moomyhas scancity kicked in yet. I'm a couple of years ahead and had a couple of recalls along the way but when I'm waiting for appointment letter to drop through the mail my anxieand phantom breast pain kicks in.
My funny hubby - today he was putting together a storage container when he asked me to Google what Robins like to eat. He'd made a friend. Our nord feeder and birdbath long since crumbled - well the bath needs the cement fixing but not hit around to. So I went and bought him a new feeder and food . He's so habbby, like a child.
We,ve friends coming tomorrow for a couple of days so instead of cleaning I decided to reorganise my wardrobe and take stuff to charity shop .
I'm also school governor and we recruiting new head so I've been reviewing applications in readiness for short listing .
Yes, anxiety has kicked in but I’ve had such a lot going through my head anyway I hadn’t realised quite what it was! At least now I know I can probably blame that as I lie awake tonight! Ha!
Night night Fruit Loops, sleep well and stay safe

Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Oh seaspirit44 I will be thinking of you, eyes are so important. When is your body going to behave properly for you?!? I hope whatever they suggest/do is straightforward.
I slept better last night, perhaps as a result of being totally shattered and also realising my anxiety for this coming week, my Thursday appointment at the breast clinic!
