Does anyone know when all the red itchy rash goes away - side effect of radiotherapy ? I have a telephone appt with Oncology staff in one week. Currently 1.5 weeks after radiotherapy ended but this started up on 4th day of it.
Mine has calmed down a bit to look at but oh so itchy and hard not to scratch. they told me to get some 1% hydrocortisone cream for that so applying sparingly. its only a week today since I finished rads so keeping going but just don't feel comfy x
LondonLass hope jab goes well . Years ago god unrelated reason I had to have daily jabs . I carried drugs and took them to my GP surgery nurse. Older generation nurse who filled up her big, scary glass syringe and popped it in my backside . Quick and painless . On weekends I had to go to hospital ward and they always gave the job to trainee as I was considered a well patient so ok for training. She wasn't qualified to do backside so had to go in my leg. It was painful, it bruised and bled every time . In the end I complained and was basically told they were doing GP surgery job so be glad. Actually I was under hospital consultant but they only had clinic 1 day a week so GP doing hospital job. Thankfully they changed meds so I could do jabs myself. I know needles a little thing but most people still have sense of dread about them.
Tired Minion. So exciting have a decent night sleep xx
Hi All
my granddaughter decided to splurge on a London hair salon ,she normally waits til she back in n North to see her usual hairdresser . You don't want to know the cost but I can't believe The difference . She went to a curly hair specialist
Before , after being brushed out to an inch of its life.
After two hours
They do each strand individually
I am now 5 weeks post radio therapy. It was really sore and itchy, probably peaked about 10 days after the finish. It is still red but not itchy anymore. Still a bit of peeling and the dark brown is fading. Still sore to press on though.
Wow that is stunningNortherner But yes, you want to gulp at the prices in London! I had a present of a style for my 21st from a lovely friend and gasped at the price!
Hugs xxx
